In all my centuries of being in the Primal Council, never has an unlikely trio appeared in our hallowed chamber. In all my centuries of existence, I have never heard of them working together for a common cause. And yet, that is exactly what they seem to have done.

A knock on the door interrupts my thoughts.

“Come in,” I command.

The door opens and a small, black cat enters, a shiny cylinder hanging from his neck.

I take it and twist it, finding out that it contains a single item: a flash drive.

I insert it into my laptop, copying the files and then opening them one by one, a grin forming in my lips.

Those three liars have a common cause, alright.

Her name is Eve.

Or rather, Clarissa Wagner.

I clasp my hands together, licking my lips as I stare at her picture on my screen, that pale brown hair the same color as my fur.

It’s only a matter of my time before she becomes mine.
