Bodyguard Beast
His gaze went to my stomach and remained on it.
It became almost too excruciating to breathe.
“You do know that inside, I’m slowly crumbling into pieces, right?” he asked softly.
“What?”
His blue eyes were sparkling. He rolled me to my side on the bed. Then he vaulted off the bed.
I stared at him in shock as he started pacing the floor. Then he strode over to me and picked me up twirling me around and around the room while I squealed. “I love you, Sienna,” he said. “I love you. I love you. I love you. And you’ve made me the happiest man in the universe!”
“So, you’re happy?”
“What do you think?”
“I think you’re happy.”
“Right now, I feel as if I could cross a sea, jump a mountain, reach out and touch the stars. I would get the moon for you if I could. I think I’d do absolutely anything for you.”
“I see. Hmmm … Did I fall in the water, or did I dive in?”
He looked at me with mock solemnity. “You dove in.”
I hit him then.
And he laughed.
The sound filled my soul. Pure joy filled me. Inside my body, even the minute growing life must have known how happy it had made us.
As time went on, I’d probably start to believe I dove in after him too, because I wouldn’t be able to remember a time when I didn’t want him.
He was my life, my love, my everything.
The End
