When he let go of my wrists, I wrapped my arms around his neck.

He grunted. “Hold on.”

“Hold on?”

Pulling his cock out, he held me around my waist, picked me up, and took us off the bed. I had no ability to ask him what he was doing because he pressed me against the wall and shoved my words out with his cock. Pumping hard, he fucked me against the wall.

“Oh, Misha!”

“You’re damn right.” He growled. “Who’s fucking you?”

“Misha!”

“Say it again.”

“Misha!”

The muscles on his back flexed and contracted under my fingers. All I could do was hold on as he pumped and thrust into me. Back and forth, he dominated me with that skilled cock. I bucked against him, riding the rhythm and relishing in the passion of us.

He groaned. “Look at me.”

I had no idea my eyes were closed. I opened them. My body was so close to exploding. Still pumping, his lids lazily hung halfway over his eyes. Exhilarating sensations gripped me.

“Oh my God,” I cried in pleasure.

“Yes, Ava, tell me more.”

“Oh.”

“You love this cock.”

“Yes.”

“Whose pussy is this?”

“Yours.”

“Whose?”

“Yours.”

Ecstasy mingled with hot pleasure. My body exploded. My moans mixed with his groans. Our orgasms crashed together. I trembled against him as he shuddered.

Minutes later, we cuddled on the bed. My body was full of exhaustion. He had to be tired too. I lay on his chest as he held me in his arms.

Yawning, I looked up. “When’s the last time you slept?”

“I don’t know.”

“That’s not good.”

“I’m getting some rest tonight. We have a long day tomorrow.”

“Do we?”

“We’re going to Prague.”

“Okay.”

“Is that fine with you, Ava?”

“It is. I want to help you with your father’s funeral.”

“You’ve been nothing but a savior to me this entire time.”

“You’ve done more for me. I’m just trying to keep up.” I closed my eyes and lounged on him.

“I have a question.”

Another yawn left me. “What?”

“What are your thoughts on marriage and children?”

I opened my eyes. “Uh. . .”

He moved under me and then lay a small black box on his chest in front of me.

I raised my head and left him. “Misha?”

He reached for it.

I stopped him. “Is that. . .what I think it is?”

“It is.” He reached for it again.

I stopped him. “Misha, I’m. . .not ready.”

“How do you know?”

“Because I am just figuring out who you are and coming to peace with it. Plus, my career is just truly beginning. And. . .you have a daughter. We still don’t know how this will all work out between us.” I blinked. “I don’t even know where I will be in a year.”

He pierced me with an intense gaze. “You’ll be by my side.”

“But what will that mean and where will it be?”

“Ava.” He grabbed the box and placed it on the nightstand. Then he sat up. “I want you to be my wife.”

I parted my lips.

“If you’re not ready to say yes, then that is fine. For now.”

“For now?”

“I will keep asking until you say yes. Just as you understand that there will never be a time when you can say no.”

“Misha, that’s not fair.”

“Our love won’t be fair.” He pulled me into his arms. “I told you before. This is forever. I will never let you go.”

“But we have to take proper time to get to know each other.”

“We will, and when we do, you’ll wear that ring.” He shut off the bedroom light and gathered me into his arms.

In the darkness, I lounged in his warmth. “Misha?”

“Yes.”

“I’m sorry.”

“I’m not. You didn’t say no. You said let’s wait.”

Fear filled me. Marriage was a huge decision—one I wouldn’t take lightly. So far, I knew that I was in love with Misha. There was no doubt in my mind. But were we ready for marriage? Could I truly be his wife while he remained with the Brotherhood? Would more trouble come? And would there be things that I could no longer handle?

He kissed my forehead. “I love you, Ava.”

“I love you too.” I held him closer to me. “I love you with every inch of my heart, Misha. I swear I do.”

“Then, for now, that will be enough.”

His phone buzzed.

He shifted in the bed and grabbed it. After a minute, he put the phone on the nightstand.

“Is something wrong?” I asked.

“No. Everything is perfect.” He ran his fingers through my hair. “Let’s get some sleep.”Epilogue

Misha

I woke with Ava still in my arms. A wild sleeper, she’d been draped across my body like a human blanket. I grinned and gazed down at the love of my life. Her head lay on my chest, right above my heart. I inhaled her perfumed scent and reveled in this quiet morning.

Almost everything is done.

Slowly, I checked my watch.

Last night, Naveen texted me a message. The Xecutioners had agreed to a meeting with me early in the morning outside of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
