On His Orders (The Billionaire's Way 1)
The Aussie billionaire extends his hand. I look up at him and shake hands knowing full well that I am here on a mission to extract information from Sir Gerald.
“You are a lovely little thing,” the Aussie says as he looks down at me. I smile shyly. Damn, these billionaires really know how to effortlessly charm and intimidate with a simple sentence and a gesture.
Mr. Peak and Sir Gerald walk off on their own to discuss “Billionaire Business.” I am invited inside the house by the big Hawaiian man.
“My name is Loki. I am the manager of the estate. Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns,” the big man says as he leads into the house through the patio area.
We walk inside and I am charmed by the rather laid back set-up of the home. Sir Gerald has dozens of palm trees inside as well as a really cool indoor waterfall running right down the center of the living room.
Loki escorts me down a hall. We walk into a large suite. “Is this Sir Gerald’s Master Bedroom?” I ask.
“This is your suite. Enjoy!” Loki says.
Wow. Just wow. The house manager opens the large sliding glass doors, leading to the sand and the surf. I walk into the bathroom which is - I kid you not - larger than my apartment on Venice Beach. This is all just too much.
The house manager opens the door. A servant brings in a set of Prada luggage. “We understand you didn’t have any baggage so we have secured you a wardrobe for your stay,” Loki explains as he directs the servant to set the luggage on a table.
My head is just spinning now. Then I slap myself back to reality. I need to focus. Mr. Peak expects me to perfect. And I intend to follow my billionaire’s orders without fail.
I walk into the bathroom and take a shower. When I go back into the bedroom, I open the luggage and find an enviable collection of casual clothing. A cute white cotton dress calls out to me. Yes, I believe that this will do the job.
I put on the dress and look into the mirror. Dammit. I look really nice. The ocean breeze playfully flips around the skirt and presses the little dress against my body. If this doesn’t seduce Sir Gerald, nothing will get the job done.
I walk back outside and see the two billionaires enjoying cigars right up along the surf. Sir Gerald is barefoot while Mr. Peak is still wearing his impeccable black dress shoes. The Aussie billionaire looks over at me. He gives me a really long stare. It scares me. I believe this dress is doing its job a little too well.
All of a sudden, Sir Gerald couldn’t be bothered with the conversation he was having with my boss.
“I personally picked out that dress for you Sarah,” Mr. Peak says with a smile.
Sir Gerald looks me up and down. “I take you two are more than mere as**sociates.”
Mr. Peak doesn’t respond to Sir Gerald’s statement. Instead, my boss runs his hands through my hair, wordlessly declaring his ownership of me. The Aussie billionaire takes a puff of his cigar while he paints my body with his eyes. Sir Gerald doesn’t seem at all intimidated by Mr. Peak’s presence. The Aussie continues to leer at my body, almost daring my boss to say something. I begin to get uncomfortable. Sir Gerald finally breaks the tension with a simple declaration. “Let’s drink.”
We watch the sun set over the Pacific as all three of us empty several bottles of Chateau Petrus worth more than my Honda Civic. At about Midnight, my head is spinning. Mr. Peak leans in and says, “Excuse yourself and go to your room.”
I dutifully stand up and say, “Sir Gerald, thank you so much for the lovely evening. I understand you probably have much to discuss privately with Mr. Peak so I shall excuse myself.”
Sir Gerald stands up and cradles his drink as he wishes me off. “You have delighted me with your presence this evening. It’s a shame that I won’t be able to lay my eyes on you for the rest of the night. But I understand that LA to Maui flight can take a lot out of a person. Even when it’s on one of Ryan’s Gulfstreams.” The Aussie billionaire stands and stares at me while I walk away. Even though I can’t see him, I can feel his eyes just leering at my as**s.
When I get back to my oceanfront suite, I plop down on the bed and close my eyes. The ocean air feels so nice against my body. The serenity of Kapalua beach - along with all that wine - makes me feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven. There is only one thing that can top this moment - a jacuzzi bath!
I go into the bathroom and slip out of my dress. The tub spa is just inviting and decadent. I turn on the water and wait for the tub to fill up. After a few minutes of watching the water dance around the jacuzzi, I climb inside.
