Our Love Story
Just as the coffee finishes brewing and I’ve sliced up fresh papaya and pineapple, the guys bound into the kitchen as if on cue. There are eggs, turkey bacon, and roasted potatoes ready too. When Noah and Enzo each reach for their plates, I push them away.
“Ladies first,” I tell them.
Noah looks around. “I think she’s still sleeping.”
Enzo smiles. “Well, I have no problem waking her up. Give her a little morning—”
Just then, Chloe walks into the kitchen. “A little morning what exactly, Enzo?” she asks, smirking.
Enzo, usually such a suave romantic, blushes at having been caught talking about Chloe.
Hell, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Enzo flustered in my entire life, at least never with a woman around. And I’ve known him since we were kids.
“Give you a little morning kiss,” he says, returning to his usual calm and collected self, and walking over to her, brushing her hair away from her neck. He plants a kiss on her collarbone, her chin, her lips. “Morning, sweetheart.”
Ethan, Noah and I watch the exchange, and none of us appear jealous, I certainly am not. It’s just that these may be our last moments with her. I’d hate to waste any of them not lavishing her with the attention she deserves.
Besides, my mind isn’t on Enzo and where his mouth is. I want to know if she made up her mind.
“I made breakfast. Help yourself,” I tell her, pouring her a cup of coffee. “Do you take it with anything, milk or sweetener?”
Her eyes light up at the proffered mug.
“Both,” she says. “I like it both creamy and sweet.”
I swear to God, I see Noah adjust himself, her words turning everyone in this room on.
I’m glad none of us share a bedroom because I’m guessing everyone was getting off last night.
And by the way Chloe looks, a little bit bed-ruffled, I can’t help but wonder if she had the same tormented sleep. If she spent her night pressing her fingers between her pink folds and rubbing her clit, until she came all over her fingers, like a good girl.
Fuck, I’m so horny for her. Horny for her round tits and her perfect little pussy.
“Well, we are kind of health freaks here. Let’s see... I have some honey or almond milk.”
Chloe scrunches up her nose. “Hmmm, I guess I’ll try it with both. Thank you.” She dishes up her food and for a second I wish we weren’t so health conscious. I should have made her carb-laden pancakes. I have the irreverent vision of pouring maple syrup on her titties and licking it off her nipples.
I gotta get my head on straight.
We all dish up our food then head out to the veranda so we can soak up the morning rays.
“So,” she says, facing me. “Tell me why you’re the one who’s making food for everybody else.”
“I’ve always cooked,” I say, shrugging. “Besides, you’d understand if you saw these jackasses in the kitchen.”
Noah pipes in, “And he grew up in a big family, five younger brothers and sisters, and his parents both worked a hell of a lot, so he did his best to take care of everybody else.”
Chloe smiles at this story, and I kinda want to punch Noah for telling it. “Don’t look embarrassed,” Chloe says to me. “It’s actually pretty sweet, and it makes sense as to why you’re so nurturing and caring. You’re used to taking care of people.” She gives me a smile that melts my heart. “Are you close with your family now?”
I nod. “Yeah, seems like one of my brothers or sisters are always asking me to bail them out of something. But thankfully I’m making good money now and can.”
Ethan raises a brow—knowing the rest of the story. That my dad is an asshole who constantly calls asking for a money order—using it for getting drunk more often than not these days and forcing my mom to do just about everything to keep their household together. I’ve tried to talk to her about leaving him, but she says she loves him.
Love like that seems pretty fucked up to me. But what do I know? I’ve never been in love before. Guys like Noah and Enzo are the players in this house.
Me, I do my best to play by the rules. And Ethan? He’s been burned so many times by his ‘family’ that it would take a special person to open his heart up again. It’s been closed off for so long.
“You okay, bro?” Noah asks. “Thought we lost ya there for a minute.”
“I’m here. Just you know, thinking about family back home.”
The guys share a knowing look, and Chloe must realize it’s not the safest topic because she changes the conversation to something easier.
“How did you guys all get into extreme sports?”
As we explain our journeys to becoming an extreme sports team, she seems surprised at how simple our story is. We all come from the same neighborhood, went to school together, and we all were the type of guys who weren’t all that interested in going to college. We spent several years figuring out what it takes to become professional athletes. We worked hard, saved up enough cash to start traveling, and making videos. We’d post them on our MeTube channel, eventually becoming the best that we could be. Millions of views later, we got picked up by a major sponsor.
