Dirty Little Brat (Dirty Series Book 1)
“Is that a yes baby?” he asks laughing as he wipes my face and sits beside me. His hand goes to my shirt and begins unbuttoning it. My body comes alive almost instantaneously, needing to be touched by him.
“Yes.” Is all I get out before he is on top of me, his mouth devouring mine. My hands are all over him, frantically trying to remove his shirt.
“Mhmm.” We both stop, faces cheesing and turn toward the door. “Saxson, get yourself out of here right this second.” His mom says swatting at his head. She begins saying something in Spanish and I can’t help but giggle. It’s quite humorous watching this grown man dodge his moms smacks.
“Mama. I’m sorry. I needed to see her before the ceremony.” He says to her as he leans and kisses her on the cheek.
“Fine. But now you need to go, hijo. Get out!” She shoves him out the door and I fall into a mass of belly laughs. His mom stands there, smiling at me while I pull myself together, I’m sure she is thinking how childish I am behaving, but it was funny.
“It’s so good to see my boy so happy. That one, I was never sure would find someone to match his personality. But I see you will keep him on his toes. No?” My cheeks heat up as her compliment absorbs into me. It fills me with a warmth I have never felt. Other than Lara, and guys who want in my pants, no one has ever said anything nice to me. Until Saxson. But it is still different to have his mom see something in me that she thinks will make her son a good wife. I nod my head at her, not quite able to speak with my throat clogged full of emotion. “Bueno. Now come. Time for you to bathe and start getting ready.”
I am barely out of the tub when a group of women walk into the bedroom followed by Lara. “Lexi, this is Anastasia, Lordis, and Victoria. They have been brought here to be our stylists.”
“Seriously?” I had no idea he was doing all of this.
“Of course, sweet girl. My son knows no woman can get married without being pampered on her wedding day. Wish my daughter remembered that.” She mumbled the last part, I'm sure she is salty about Julissa. Saxson filled me in last night about the tension with Julissa and Manny eloping.
“Yes, Miss Bose. My assistants and I were instructed to give you the full treatment. Hair, makeup, waxing, and helping you get dressed. You are a very lucky woman. Shall we begin?” She leads me to the chair her assistant has set up in the corner and I follow, feeling much like I am in a dream.
So, for the next hour, Lara and I are plucked, waxed, primped, clipped, made over, polished, and styled. By the time they are done, I don’t recognize myself. “Holy moly Lexi. You look stunning. Wow!” Lara says as she finishes getting her nails done.
“Really? You think Saxson is going to like it?” I ask her not quite ready to look in the mirror yet. I am not going to see myself until I have my dress on.
“Oh, sweet girl. He is going to more than love it. You are quite simply exquisite.” His mom says wiping her eyes.
“Oh, Mrs. Maldonado, please don’t cry. Then I’m going to start crying and ruin my makeup.” I say as I dab at the corner of my eyes.
“Call me mom, dear heart. I am sorry that your family could not be here. I tried to talk Saxson into giving you more time, but my son, when he wants something, is like a stone. He has been that way his whole life.” She tsks her mouth as she goes to the closet.
“Mama, papà wanted…” I turn to see Ramone standing in the doorway, his gaze trained on Lara, emblazoned by something akin to want and pure unadulterated lust, but in twice the fire. His nose flares as his hands hold onto the doorknob and damn near breaks it off. I look over at Lara and she looks like a damn rose right now, she is so red. Hell, I can barely tell the difference between her hair and her skin. Interesting. Not to mention, standing here with the two of them, I can barely breathe. The air in the room has been sucked up by the unspoken words between the two of them. I mean Jesus. I want to fan myself, the tension is so thick. It's making me horny for Saxson right. Something to ease the tension.
“Hijo? Is everything ok?” His mom interrupts the stare down happening. Ramon clears his throat and looks at his mom. I make note that Lara slumps as soon as his eyes break contact. Very interesting.
