More Than Most
“YES!! CURTIS. PLEASE!” I moan him pinching my nipples sending the spark right where I needed it. He comes after me, holding himself up so he doesn’t go down on my stomach. He rolls to the side of me and pulls me into his arms.
“You ok? How are my girls?” he asks, holding my stomach.
“They are fine, babe. Just moving.” I stretch, yawning. “What time do you have to go to the shop?” Three months ago, Ava’s dad, who apparently is an investor in Mike’s business, donated money to open an annex shop one town over. Mike, not wanting to spend more time away from Ava and their two kids, put Curtis in charge of the new shop. This came with a raise and gave my husband the pride he was missing in himself. I was able to enroll in the local college thanks to a scholarship for people choosing to go into early childhood education at Harold Washington College. Lucky for me, they had an online program.
“I have to be there in twenty minutes. Do you want me to fix you something to eat before I go?” See why I love this man.
“No babe. Go and get ready. I am a bit exhausted from someone wearing me out. We are going to nap.”
“Alright baby. Sleep. I will check on you in a few hours. I love you. And you two as well.” he says to my stomach before kissing it and me.
“We love you too.” Life doesn’t get any better than this. We might not have as much as others, but we have more than most and that is more than enough for us. Because Love, is worth more than anything you could buy with money.
