Resting my forehead against hers, I just stand here, letting that knowledge sink in. I’m married. I have a wife and a daughter and, without a doubt, my unexpected fall has been the greatest journey of my life.

Chapter Twenty-Seven

Dawn

Today has been incredible, emotional, and so many memories were made. The girls nailed the decorations and the music. Not that I expected anything less. I’m so blessed to have them in my life.

“How long until we kick them out?” Mark asks.

“Stop,” I say, laughing. “They’re our guests.”

He aligns his body with mine, and I can feel how worked up he is. “This could get embarrassing, wife,” he says, his lips next to my ear.

“Control yourself.”

“We’re going to go,” my mom says. “This little angel is getting sleepy.”

“We can keep her,” Mark says.

“Nonsense. You’re not going on a honeymoon. You deserve at least a wedding night with no interruptions.” I can feel my face heat.

“Thank you, Theresa. We really appreciate it. I’ll get her bag.” I pull out of Mark’s hold and head to Daisy’s room. I already have her bag packed. I grab it and rush back out to the living room. “Here you go.”

“Thanks,” Keith says, taking Daisy from Theresa, making us all laugh.

“I swear he’s going to spoil her,” Theresa says.

“Mom, that’s a good thing.”

“I agree, but she’s supposed to be grandma’s girl,” she says with a pout.

“Call us if you need anything,” Mark says.

“She’ll be fine.”

She will be. Keith and Theresa have a room for their grandkids with three baby beds; they added a third when Daisy was born. We tried to tell them she could sleep in one of the other two, but they countered with they wanted to be able to have all three of their grandkids at once and since they were all still little, they needed a safe place to sleep. We didn’t argue after that, not that it would have done any good.

“We’re all heading out too,” Ridge says. “Give the newlyweds some time together.”

“You don’t have to,” I tell him.

He winks at me. “The girls chose noon for a wedding time on purpose. The plan has always been to leave, giving you all some time.” He leans in and hugs me, then Mark. “Congrats, you two.”

“Thanks, brother,” Mark says.

Within twenty minutes, the food is cleaned up, the living room is back in order. The only thing remaining is the arch covered in fresh flowers. I’m glad they left it. It’s beautiful, and we get to keep a piece of today just a little bit longer.

I watch as Mark shuts the door behind Kent and Seth, then turns the lock. He walks toward me, pulling his phone out of his pocket, and hits Play. Lonestar’s “Amazed” comes through the speakers. “May I have this dance?” he asks, holding his hand out for me.

Without question, I place my hand in his. He pulls me close, and I rest my head against his chest as he softly sings the lyrics to me. We’re not even moving, just standing still in the middle of our living room. When the song ends, he pulls away and lifts me into his arms.

“We’re already home, so the bedroom threshold will have to do,” he says, kissing the corner of my mouth.

In our room, he sets me on my feet. “Let’s get you out of this dress.” He spins me and lowers the zipper. His fingertips trail down my spine, following the zipper’s descent. “Fuck, Pixie,” he says, kissing my now bare shoulder.

The dress pools at my feet, and carefully, I step out of it, bending to pick it up. I toss it in the chair that sits in the corner of our bedroom. “You’re overdressed, husband,” I tell him.

His blue eyes sparkle. “I can fix that.” With deft fingers, he unbuttons his shirt, and I help him slide it off his shoulders. Next are his jeans that get kicked off to the side.

“Take it all off.” His deep demand causes goose bumps to break out across my skin.

“You too,” I say, my voice thick with desire. Reaching behind my back, I unclasp my bra and toss it, before hooking my fingers in the waistband of my sheer white thong, and pull it over my hips. “I’m waiting,” I say when he just stands there staring at me.

“Don’t rush this. I’m making a memory.” His gaze roams over me. “I’ll never forget this day. I’ll never forget this moment, the moment I make love to my wife for the first time.”

I’m ready now. I rub my thighs together to keep from throwing myself on the bed and begging him to take me. I’m not against begging.

He steps forward and with our height difference, he has to bend down as his hand explores my pussy that’s more than ready for him. “Damn, baby.”

“Can we maybe move this memory-making along?” I ask as his lips trail down my neck.

“We can’t rush this,” he whispers.

“It’s our wedding night. We can do whatever we want.” I try to reason with him.

“Is that what you want? A fast fuck?” He slides one of his long thick fingers inside me.

“Y-Yes.”

“That’s not very romantic,” he counters, his voice husky.

“Our life is full of romance. Look at today. You give me romance every day. Tonight, I want you, hard, hot, heavy.” I reach out and palm his cock, stroking him gently from root to tip.

“Fuck,” he moans, resting his forehead against my shoulder. “Wedding nights are not supposed to be dirty.”

“Then we change the rules. We’re good at that. Just ask our daughter.” We’ve learned to take things as they come, and that includes this. I want him inside me. I love Daisy with everything I am, but the thought of not being interrupted when he slides inside me, well, I’m glad my new in-laws offered to watch her. I miss her, I love her, but I miss wild, hot, sweaty sex too.

“I don’t want slow-and-quiet Mark, I want wild-and-sweaty Mark,” I confess.

“Who am I to deny my wife anything?” He pulls his hand from between my legs and brings his fingers to his mouth, slipping his fingers past his lips. “On the bed,” he growls.

I don’t wait for him to tell me how he wants me. I know how I want him. Crawling on the bed, I stay on all fours offering myself to him.

“Jesus, Pixie. You’re not holding any punches,” he says, climbing on the bed and settling behind me. His hands grip my ass as I push back against him. “You’re trying to make this end before it starts.”

“It won’t take long,” I confess.

>   “Fuck.” He moves away from me.

“Where are you going?” I ask him.

“Condom.”

“Mark,” I say, turning to look at him over his shoulder. “We’re married now.”

“I know, but I wasn’t sure, so….” He shrugs. This man is always putting me first.

“We don’t need those. Not anymore.” To be honest, I started to tell him to toss them the night he proposed, but then I thought about this night and the fact that we get to feel each other for the first time with no barrier, celebrating our marriage.

“Babe, you pick our wedding night to tell me I can go bare? I’ll be lucky to last a minute,” he says, abandoning his mission for a condom as he takes his spot behind me once again.

“We have all night, and I’m so worked up, it’s not going to matter.” I push my ass against him and feel his cock—long, hard, and thick. “I mean, if you need me to do it myself,” I say and he growls. I knew that would spring him into action.

“Not my wife, and not on our wedding night. Your pleasure belongs to me.” He runs his cock through my wet heat. He gives me no warning as he thrusts inside me.

“Yes,” I say breathily, letting my head hang and the feeling of being stretched around him wash over me.

Slowly, he pulls out, then slams back in. Over and over he does this. Each time his thrusts grow faster until he’s pounding inside me. The bed is bouncing off the wall, my moans fill the room followed by his grunts, and I never want it to end.

“Baby,” he says through gritted teeth, “I’m close.”

Pushing my hips back, I grind into him until I start to unravel. “There,” I pant, and he gives me what I need without asking.

Thrust after thrust.

His hands gripping my hips.

I scream out his name as my body shakes and my pussy convulses around him. I’m just coming down from my orgasm when I feel him still and release himself inside me. It’s erotic and sensual. I can feel the hot spurts as he finds his release. It’s new and exhilarating, and tonight was the perfect night for it to happen for the first time.
