Keeping Her (Savage Brothers Second Generation 2)

« Prev  Chapter  Next »

Luke swallows my confession, his tongue thrusting into my mouth almost as forcefully as he pushes into my body. He’s too busy kissing me to tell me he loves me back, but I’m okay with that, because I know he does.

I feel it in his every touch.50GruntThree Months Later

I hear the door opening and smile. It’s almost over. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wasn’t finding pleasure in it.

I am.

I look over at Jonesy and then across from him is Ford. The two men I’m the closest to in the club. But standing in the corner by the front door is Sledge. It surprised me that he wanted to be here, but the fact he did means a fuck of a lot. I thought when I let the club know what I was going to do, he’d be the first person to give me shit and try to get the club to block it. It wouldn’t have worked. I would have done it on my own if the club wasn’t going to have my back. Sledge didn’t do what I expected, however.

Hell, I got the feeling that he completely agreed with what I had planned. It was a surprise, but it made me feel closer to my club than I’ve felt in years.

My gaze trickles around the room to look at the two other men who are handcuffed—with cuffs that conveniently have Officer Lagger’s fingerprints. They’re not making any noise—of course they can’t.

They’re fucking high as a kite. Having sampled some of the finest coke the DC’s could get their hands on—which means it is Grade-A, premium shit. They’re also gagged.

Why?

Because, thankfully Dewayne Lagger is a forgetful ass wipe who leaves his extra handcuffs lying around his house.

It took me three months to locate all of the parties that were involved in Lagger’s twisted game of revenge he tried to extract using Jasmine. It wasn’t easy, because I wasn’t about to ask Red to help me or give me names. I don’t want her to have to remember any of this shit ever again. Which meant, I’d been watching Dewayne Lagger very closely the last few months. It soon became clear who the men were that Dewayne spent time with, and once I watched them all in bars and out in town, I knew who to go after.

That brings us to this point, with my brothers and I looking like crime scene investigators not wanting to contaminate a scene and waiting on the final piece to end this game.

The minute the fucker’s squad car pulled up outside, we all heard it. That meant we were all ready as the door finally opens up.

The asshole has his head down, humming some fucking song. He has no idea the hell he has just walked into. My men and I all stay in place, as the fucker closes the door. When he finally looks up the first person he sees is me. Then, again, that’s how I wanted this to go down. I see his eyes dilate, as shock spreads on his face and it goes pale with fear. And the asshole is definitely afraid; he’s literally shaking with it. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if he didn’t piss himself.

His hand trembles as he reaches down for his gun. I shake my head no and cock my own weapon.

“I wouldn’t do that Officer,” I mock. His hand freezes.

“Listen, I know you’re upset, but you got mixed up in this game between me and that whore. You just didn’t know who you were getting involved with. There’s no reason to let her get you mixed up in something that would send you to jail. She’s not worth it, man. She’s just a whore. You can find one of those anywhere,” he says, his words spoken rapidly in his fear. He backs up a few steps and that’s when Sledge comes out of the corner. Finally, Lagger looks around, too late realizing he’s surrounded. His eyes go to his two buddies on the floor—naked-cuffed and high. That’s when the extent of this starts to hit him. “What the fuck,” he hisses, his face going even paler.

“This is going to go down one of two ways,” I tell him, and he shakes his head in denial, which just makes me laugh. Ford tossed down a baggie of drugs—at least the first dose. Jonesy tosses down a bottle of cheap whiskey. The other bottles we brought have already been poured down his buddies. Empty bottles are lying around the room. To anyone entering, it’s going to look like a real party took place here tonight. They wouldn’t be wrong—at least not completely.

“Listen, nothing horrible has happened here, we can end this and—”

“This started when you fucked with the wrong woman, asshole. I’m just a little late serving up the justice.”
