First Comes Love (Love Comes To Town)

Her grin is downright devilish. “What? You never know when you might have to seduce a gorilla to get out of trouble.”

I pull down the other strap and bury my face in her cleavage, inhale deeply, then grin up at her, probably like an idiot. “Has it worked? Have you seduced this gorilla?”

She bites her lip, her hands rippling down my body. “Guess we’ll just have to see.”

As they grasp my boner, she exhales hard. “Wow. Yeah, guess I did.”

My gaze is still on her breasts, bouncing their perfect handfuls in my hands. “What happens now?”

As I peel off her bra and rub my lips over her nipples, she moans. “I… don’t know.”

I lightly bite down on her nipple. “You don’t know?”

“I…”

My hand sweeps down and presses into her panties. They’re deliciously wet. “You sure?”

“I… uh, Greyson, please.”

My finger dips under and inside, thrumming in her wet warmth. “Let me enjoy you first.”

All she can do now is moan, her grip tightened on my painfully hard cock. She’s wet as fuck, and I dive in to taste it myself.

She gasps, and, seconds later, comes.

And we’re only getting started.

I wake up cold. It’s still dark out, night, but she’s gone. I sit up quickly, but I needn’t have worried. She’s out there in the pool, the clear waters showing off her beautiful naked body.

“Hey,” I say, going to join her.

“Hey.” She smiles, reaching to pop a chocolate in my mouth. “Didn’t want to wake you.”

I chuckle as I enjoy the taste. “Earlier today I got so bored I ended up napping for a good part of it. Believe me, the last thing I need more of is sleep.”

Her face falls as I pad into the pool. The water is cool, yet perfect.

“I’m sorry about before, really,” I say. “I just don’t want…”

“What?” Her voice is hard. “To see me after this? To have this continue any longer than it has to?”

“No, I—” My hands find hers. “You don’t get it. I’ve never done this kind of thing before. I always swore I’d never…”

“Get involved with an employee?”

“Yeah. But you came along and—” I exhale. “No. I’m not going to pin this on you. I’m supposed to the producer. I’m supposed to know better.”

She’s looking out at the darkened horizon, face unreadable. “Can’t we just enjoy this while it lasts? And if after, if reality back home isn’t… the same, then accept it then?”

She adds a rueful afterthought: “I’m not going to go blabbing to the media either, if that’s what you’re worried about.”

“I never thought that. The others, though… And right now, the company is vulnerable. I’m not my father.”

She offers me a tentative smile it takes effort not to kiss. “Maybe that’s a good thing? At least if some of the rumors I’ve heard are true.”

“You have no idea.” My hands slip around her waist, press her naked soft form to me. It feels so… good.

She doesn’t say anything, and though normally I’d leave it there, more words slip out.

“He cheated on my mom. More times than I can count. He was friends with sketchy men I wouldn’t even say hi to on the street. And that’s only the things that have come out about him. God knows what else there is.”

“I’m sorry.”

She looks like she means it, so intently that this time I can’t help it: I do kiss her. It’s a sad, sweet kiss, slow and painstaking. Shit, I don’t ever want this night to end.

“My dad cheated on my mom too,” she says quietly now, eyes back on the horizon. “I don’t think she ever got over it, even now.”

“Mine either,” I say, my arms around her again.

And we lean there, her and me, cool waters around us, breeze playing with the droplets on our skin. And we say nothing because we don’t have to.

I don’t know how long we stand there, except that at some point, an orange-yellow stain starts to form on the bridge of the horizon.

“Thank you.” She whirls around to smile nervously at me, eyes glistening. “For everything. This place is gorgeous.”

“No.” I kiss her. “Thank you.” I kiss her again. “Let’s stay…” I kiss her again. “This has been the best…”

And then our kisses can’t stop and it’s good, too, because my mind is stupid and ridiculous, and if I didn’t know better, I’d think I was going to say: Let’s stay a week. Let’s never go back.Chapter 18Harley

Four days.

As my eyes flutter open, I mouth the words to myself, like some crazy secret: “Four days.”

Four days of breakfast in bed, dinner in the restaurant, dessert in bed or the pool, and, one night, a surprise visit to a grotto where Greyson had set everything up for a romantic candlelit dinner, just us two.

Four days that felt like four seconds, like four weeks. But now, this morning, the dream has to end. Time to go back to reality.
