Dirty Sext (Accidental Stepbrother 3)
I got up off the couch and then realized I had no real plan to do anything else. I’d never been one for TV or movies so to stay on the couch was just silly. Before, I used to read a lot, but it had been a while since I’d read anything besides the assignments from my classes or my lecture notes.
Maybe I could look for something to do on my computer?
I shuffled back to my bedroom for the third time that night, picked up my laptop and went to sit on the bed.
The first thing I did was to check my email. Besides a bunch of spam and some ads for subscriptions I didn’t remember signing up for, I did have a couple of messages from some students. I busied myself for a bit reading and replying to the messages. Then, I went through my inbox, sorting and deleting through my emails, unsubscribing from a few newsletters.
It didn’t take all that long to finish, and I lay back on my pillow with my eyes closed. I’d had music on my computer drive, and a bunch of movies, too, but just about everything would make me think about Stuart. We’d shared just about everything from the earliest time in our marriage. While that had changed over the past few years, the damage had already been done. I just didn’t delete any of it because I knew I would regret it eventually if I did get rid of it all when it took so long to collect. So, I closed my computer lid and left it alone.
I was seriously considering leaving the apartment to find something to do, even if it was just taking a walk around when my phone rang. My eyes snapped open, and I dived for it. It was at the bottom of my bed, and I almost fell to the floor in my scramble.
When I realized what I was doing, I winced and wondered when my life became so pathetic. The divorce didn’t affect me that badly, the memories were my biggest problem, but I’d totally forgotten that, if I didn’t want to have those memories ruining my life, I just had to make new ones.
If I had to, I could always go back to my hometown for a change.
I was curious as I sat back and checked my phone. I frowned because the number wasn’t familiar. I didn’t recognize it, but it could be anyone. I’d deleted most of my contacts over the past few months, so it could be one of them trying to contact me after finally gaining some common sense…
When I unlocked it and checked the message, though, I was totally floored. Someone, I had no idea who, actually sent me a dirty text. My jaw dropped as I read it over and over, but the words didn’t change.
“Hey, sexy. Do you miss me? I’m hard and waiting for the kind of relief only you can give me.”
I bit down on my lip as I felt an eyebrow arch. Any other time, I would have ignored it and maybe even cringe a little before I deleted it. Or even text back and tell whoever it was that they probably had the wrong number.
But I was so fucking bored. So, I laughed and replied.
“Where are you at?”
Whoever it was, if they were going to send me a dirty text, then they better entertain me.Chapter Two
BenI waited anxiously, staring at my phone, waiting for a reply. I’d held back long enough. Even though I got the number ages ago, this was my first time using it. I did want her to be the first to text me, but that didn’t matter so much, as long as she replied.
Not long after I’d sent the message, I got one back, and my eyebrows shot up as I grinned.
Finally, I was going to score with Sandra. She was a cheerleader I’d been dating for about four weeks. The one that no one could get up close and personal with. She’d said yes to me when I asked her out, and I’d played the part of a gentleman for the past month.
It was about time we moved on from that.
Since we pretty much knew the same people and hung around the same places since I was an athlete, we’d never texted before now. I’d heard a lot about her from mutual friends, so I wasn’t sure, but since she was going along with the line of my text, I had to think she wanted this as much as I did.
I smirked to myself. Maybe soon, I could bring her to my room, and we can try this again.
It was a nice thought for next time. Right then, I had to think of what to text back.
“I’m in my bed, thinking of you. What about you?”
