“Holy fuck, I—” Kendall’s back arches as her hips go wild with another intense orgasm. Seconds later, my body tightens, and I come inside her.

“Jesus Christ,” I hiss.

It takes a moment for us to catch our breaths, and when we do, I press her against the wall and steal a kiss.

“I think it worked.”

“What?” she asks.

“Fucking through the awkwardness.” I flash her a wink.

She smirks. “It only works if we don’t stop.”

“Count me in.”A few hours have passed since our hot shower sex, and we’re both starving for some real food. Kendall’s on her phone while I empty the fridge and freezer. As soon as she got a whiff of the smell, she bailed and escaped to the living room.

“Are you coming back in here?” I call out.

“Does it still smell like rotten eggs in there?”

“Quit being a baby.” I chuckle. “I sprayed some Febreze.”

Seconds later, she slowly walks over and wrinkles her nose. “That smell will haunt me for the rest of my life.”

I roll my eyes at her dramatics, and when she walks past me, I smack her ass.

“Hey!” she squeals and tries to get me back.

I laugh and run around the island, staying out of her reach. She tries catching me, but instead, I grab her from behind and lock her arms in place.

“Promise you’ll be good, and I’ll let you go,” I teasingly whisper in her ear.

“Why? I already know you like me when I’m bad.”

I twirl her around and lift her onto the counter. Standing between her legs, I grab the back of her head and thread my fingers up her scalp.

“Only when it involves my dick…” I pull her hair until her head falls back. “And your pussy,” I whisper in her ear.

She sucks in her bottom lip, and I know she’s getting worked up again. I bring a hand between her thighs and rub over her leggings. Her eyes flutter closed, and when her breath hitches, I know she’s close.

My cock gets hard as her body trembles, and she moans out her release. If we weren’t starving right now, I’d bend her over the counter and fuck her again. But we’re never going to get anything done if we can’t stay off each other.

As soon as Kendall comes down from her high, I flash her a smirk.

“Time to make dinner now.”

She glares as if she was hoping there’d be more. Giving her a wink, I walk to the pantry and look through our options.

“Do you even know how to cook?” she comes over and asks.

“I can follow a recipe.”

She chuckles and shoves me aside. “Let me cook for you tonight. A nice hot meal.”

“You know how?”

“Don’t sound so surprised! I’m a great cook. Might be a bit difficult with the limited ingredients, but I’ll figure out something.”

“Okay, be my guest. I’ll finish cleaning the fridge while you do your magic.”

“Deal.”

Kendall gets to work, pulling out cans and pouring them into a large pot. As it heats on the stove, I wipe down the inside of the freezer.

“I hate how much food we threw away,” Kendall says. “Such a waste.”

“Yeah, it definitely sucks. But we can’t risk getting sick, especially since we’re stuck here.”

She nods and continues cooking.

An hour later, I sit at the table and patiently wait. We chat as she moves around and serves two bowls.

“Bon appetit!” She sets both down with a proud smile.

“Thank you. What is it?”

“Well, I had to improvise and use what we had, but it’s a vegetable-based soup with beans and corn. I added tons of seasonings, so hopefully there’s enough flavor with the diced tomatoes,” she tells me and sits across from me.

I give it a try and am pleasantly surprised by how good it is. Kendall’s eyes light up as she watches my reaction.

“You like it?”

“I love it. Wow, it’s really good.” I eat another spoonful. “I could live off this for a month.”

She smiles and chuckles. “Well you might have to, considering our options. Good thing I made a large pot.”

I grab some bread and let it soak up the juices, then take a bite. It earns me a weird expression from her.

“You’ve never dipped bread in your soup before?”

“No, I tend to avoid carbs unless it’s something worthy, like pasta.”

I snort. “Trust me on this. Try it.”

She takes a piece, folds it in half, then dunks it. As soon as she chews and swallows, I know she’s in heaven.

“Told ya.” I snicker.

After we finish eating, I rinse the dishes and wipe down the counters. Since Kendall cooked, I told her I’d clean. Once I’ve finished, I meet her in the living room where she’s flipping through channels.

“Now that we have power, we can watch Christmas movies.” She beams. “It’s literally the perfect setting—snowed in, fireplace, hot guy. I think I’m living in a Hallmark movie.”
