So this is our very long-winded but necessary way to express our gratitude and thanks to our grandma for being a part of this novel. A part of our lives. For providing us so much love and wisdom and laughter, and for teaching us so much about the world and our Italian culture.
This was one of the most difficult books we had to finish—we weren’t sure if we would make it—but we did. For her. And we love you, Grandma, so tremendously. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
The other person that needs a special thanks is our mom.
Mom – Thank you for reading and editing this book under our intense deadline and during a time where it couldn’t be an easy read. We will forever be grateful for all you do for us. We are so lucky to be raised by such a remarkable woman, and every day we’re blessed you’re in our life. We always refer to you as our very own Rose Calloway. But you are that and more.
Thank you for packing up your bags and running to us when we needed you most. Without hesitation.
Thank you.
