Their Perfect Bride (Bridgewater Brides 6)
The woman trembled and vehemently shook her head. "No. That's what he wants, but it will never happen."
Her shoulders snapped back after almost being defeated as she glared at the man on the ground. The woman had a feisty nature when she wasn’t beaten down. One that would be fun to awaken to desire. One that should be filled with lust and sexual hunger.
"Shut up, Mattie," the man screamed at her, his lip curling in a snarl. “You’ll pay for this betrayal.”
“What part of no do you not understand? We’ll never be married.”
Could the universe have delivered them a beautiful woman in need of rescuing? An ache built in Alex’s chest, his heart warming at the thought of taking her home. Of cherishing her and making her theirs. Of slowly removing the fair-haired beauty’s clothes one piece at a time.
Would she agree to being dominated by two strong men?
She would be the queen of their home and they would make certain she was the center of their universe with one of them on either side of her.
A life as their wife would give her a lifetime of love. Of showing her how a man treated a woman with respect and dignity and love. But would Jesse agree they had found their woman?
"What are you doing out in the woods with him?”
Alex took in the fact they were miles from town. Why would she accompany him to such a place if she disliked him so much?
Needing as much information as possible before he made any rash decisions, he waited for her answer. Alex gazed at the beautiful woman and knew his heart and his cock had chosen. Mattie was the one.
"My mother is ill and I walked to town to pick up her medication. Frank caught me on the way back." She gave a little sob. "As long as I am never alone with him, I'm safe. I must return home for my mother will be worried. Thank you for rescuing me."
With despair, Alex watched the rage explode in Jesse's eyes and knew he needed to get him out of here before Frank needed a mortician. There was a difference between beating the shit out of a would-be rapist and killing him. Although, the idea held merit and buzzards would find the body quickly enough to leave no evidence.
"How much farther is your home?” he asked, not wanting her to leave just yet.
She pointed. “Not far, down the hill."
"How about we take you home and leave him here all tied up."
It was not a permanent solution, but for now, it would have to do. The two of them needed a wife, and she needed to escape. Looking at her, his heart pounded, blood rushing to his dick at the thought of just how he wanted to rescue Mattie.
"Jesse," he called. His friend stood staring at the man on the ground and Alex realized any little thing would’ve had Jesse continuing his beating. They both had sisters, and no one treated a woman this way and got away with it.
"Jesse," he said louder, "tie him up. Let's take this young woman home."
"Thank you," she said and reached out and touched Alex on the arm. A slither of heat snaked along his spine. Oh, how he wanted to feel her hand gliding along his cock.
Now to convince Jesse that this spirited spitfire who fought her attacker was the woman that would satisfy them both.
A hugger, Alex instinctively, pulled her into his arms and gave her a hug. The feel of her breasts crushed against his chest felt like she belonged there. Like she fit perfectly in his embrace.
"Let me help you onto Jesse's horse. You'll ride with him, and we'll make certain you get home safely," he promised her. Safe until they could convince her that in their arms not only would they guarantee her protection, but a life of happiness.
With a devious grin, Alex knew his friend would be unable to resist the way she felt snuggled up against him. The scent of her, her long blonde curls and pleading sapphire eyes. Sometimes you just knew when you’d found the perfect woman and Alex was convinced that Mattie was the one for them.
The biggest question was if she would accept them both. As her men, they would make certain her stepbrother never touched her again.
Could it be they just found their woman?

MATTIE
* * *
Mattie Byrne stared at the two big strong men who had rescued her from Frank. She didn’t even know their names. Immediately she’d been drawn to the tall dark-haired man with a scar running down his cheek, who comforted her while the other giant convinced Frank that attacking a woman was vile.
