The Squad

Yes, my boy Tyler is still the same. He answered, but his eyes were still on the computer. Shit spoke too soon. He swiveled around in his chair and gave me his full attention. “We have to find a new way to dispose of skells moving forward.”

“The what now?” Cord squinted like I was speaking a foreign language. I told them about the conversation I’d just had with my kid.

“Jeez Lyon, what do y’all feed that kid?”

“Don’t look now, Flanagan, but your kid’s just as smart; they just have different strengths. I get what you’re saying, Colt, but uh, how sure are you that she’s going to stop if you do?” Mancini the fuck asked me.

“Are we talking about the eight-year-old kid?” Thorpe had a half-smile on his face like we were full of shit, or at least I was. If I had the time, I’d let her loose on his dumb ass, but I don’t. “Don’t worry about that, Mancini. I know how to work my kid.” At least, I hope so. His smirk said he didn’t believe me.

“So, what do you suggest? We’re not exactly catching these douchebags the legal way.” Logan looked like the idea of not killing them didn’t sit too well with him.

“His brothers are in law enforcement, and his wife’s a FED. I’m sure we can come up with something.” Thorpe looked at Mancini when he said this.

“I see you’ve done your homework.” Mancini laughed, and Law snorted.

“Shit, Lyon had a whole dossier on you after our first meet. Well, as much as could be found anyway. What, you didn’t think we were gonna look you up?”

“I have dossiers on all of you, but that’s not what we’re talking about.”

These fucks can’t stay on point for two minutes; they’re worst than the women with this shit. Speaking of which, I need to check on Kat soon; her hormonal ass is all over the place. Which reminds me, I need to find her a pregnancy test from somewhere. Then again, after nine kids, I should have freaking radar in this bitch.

“Honestly, I never thought of that. We’ve always just eliminated.”

“Yeah, well, I promised my kid, so we’re gonna have to tweak that shit.” Just then, there was a knock on the door, and the two little girls walked in. I’d never really looked at Flanagan’s kid before. She’s a tiny little thing like her friend, with a head full of jet black curls and the most innocent eyes.

“Hi, daddy.” She waved to her dad, who winked at her and grinned. What a simp. He’ll be pulling every hair out of his head by next week once Mengele gets through training his kid in her shit.

“Uncle Hank!” Kat’s spawn sidled over to Mancini with a smile, looking like she was two seconds away from sucking her thumb.

Mancini cleared his throat and answered. I notice that he’s still eyeing her like she’s going to strike any minute. Serves his ass right! “Yes, Catalina, did you need something?” She looked around sheepishly at the others, who I noticed were all wearing a variation of a smile on their faces. I’d had to leave the room the night before when they were discussing her hit, ergo the reason I couldn’t put the shit out of my mind all night.

To them, she’s like something out of a Hollywood feel-good movie; to me, she’s just my innocent little girl, a part of my wife who would fucking expire if she ever got wind of this shit. Kat won’t even kill a fly. I wish I could erase what she’d already done, but the kid didn’t seem to have any guilt over it. She’s like me; she only sees black and white. He was an evil fuck, so he had to go.

I did roll my eyes when she crawled into Mancini’s lap and put her lips to his ear. He had a questioning look on his face when he pulled back to look at her. “Where is this place?”

“Seoul.”

“Seoul? As in South Korea?”

“There’s only one uncle Hank. So can you?”

“I’ll figure it out. How long did you say I have?”

‘Two days.” She climbed down off his lap, waved goodbye to the others, and they left, skipping and bubbling over with excitement.

“What was that about?”

“You might wanna check your credit card, Lyon; I think she might’ve put a dent in it,” I mumbled some shit under my breath and pulled out my phone. I’d stopped using credit cards a while ago since I realized they use those shits to track way too much info and was strictly using secure bank cards.

The one she had access to only holds a few thousand, but it’s quite a few thousand, and her ass is sneaky. While I was pulling up the info, Mancini went on talking. “She wants me to send the plane to Seoul to pick up something for Roxana.”
