“Yes, Sir.”

“What do you say to get things to slow down?”

“I’ll call out yellow, Sir.”

They’d been over this about three times already, yet she didn’t get impatient. He was only showing how worried he was about her.

“Sir?”

“Yes.”

“What are you going to do to me tonight?” She’d been thinking about it all week. He knew her limits, but that left him with a lot of things to play with.

He grinned. It wasn’t comforting.

Reaching out he cupped her chin. “Now that would ruin all the fun. Keeping you on the edge, wondering won’t do you any harm, little sub.”

Goddamn Dom.

Laken waited until Duncan came around and opened her door. He helped her down and she stood, waiting while he retrieved his bag.

She could do this. This was Saxon’s. She knew most of the people here. They would all watch out for her. Although no one knew what was going on except for Marc and Tarin, along with Saxon and Jake, everyone in Haven looked out for each other.

Plus, she had Duncan. He wouldn’t let any harm come to her.

“Come, sugar.”

She followed him into the club, holding tight to the hand he held back to her. With her free hand she grasped hold of her locket, letting its presence soothe her. It was a sign to everyone else that she was taken. But to her it was also a sign of how seriously he took her safety.

Inside, a large, beefy bouncer took her coat and she shivered slightly in the cool entrance way.

Duncan glanced down at her with a slight frown, no doubt taking note of the goose bumps covering her arms. He placed his hand at the small of her back, guiding her through the door. They bypassed the public bar, moving on to the private members door where Duncan’s membership pass was checked before they were allowed entrance.

The sounds hit her first, cries of pleasure and pain, loud thumps of paddles and leather hitting flesh. The other night she hadn’t really taken it in properly, she’d been too busy watching out for her friends. But now, she let it wash over, sink into her. These were sounds and scents she recognized.

“Okay, sugar?” Duncan asked.

She nodded. “Yes, Sir,” she replied in a soft voice.

“We’ll walk around first. If you see a scene you like, let me know.”

“Yes, Sir.”

She knew they had to play. If he was watching, he needed to see that she’d fallen back into her old ways.

Dirty.

Duncan grasped the nape of her neck, squeezing possessively. “Remember who you’re with, sugar.”

“Duncan,” she breathed out.

“That’s right. I want you to concentrate on me. Tonight you are going to obey me beautifully.”

She snorted. “When did you become delusional?”

He reached down and gave her bare butt a heavy spank.
