“But I don’t want to talk to you. I am sick of talking. I’ve talked so much I’m tired of my own voice. I want you to fuck me. I want you to take me over your knee and spank me for getting you all wet. Then I want you to get me all wet.”

Alec looked around at his brothers. “All of you. Go.”

“Oh, man, he’s always ruining our fun,” Maddox complained.

“You tell him, Mia,” Butch added.

“And if you don’t get what you want from him, you know where to find me,” Tanner said. He avoided West, who’d aimed a hand at the back of his head in reprimand.

When they were gone, Alec turned back to her. “Kneel.”

She knelt on the grass, trepidation making her heart race. Fuck. What had she been thinking? You didn’t challenge a Dom like that. She licked her dry lips.

“Eyes on me.”

She raised her gaze to his.

“Now talk.”

“Could we go into your office?” she asked. Even though he’d told his brothers to go, that didn’t mean they’d stay away forever.

“No, you started this out here. You finish it.”

“Okay, well, I want to resume our, um, activities.”

“You’re gonna have to do better than that,” he growled.

“I want to be your submissive again,” she blurted out. “I know you have this idea that I’m fragile and I need to be handled gently. But I’m doing much better. I’ve healed physically, I’m having fewer panic attacks and nightmares. I want you to dominate me again.”

“Is that so? And to tell me that you had to turn a hose on me?”

She shrugged. “I tried talking to you, but you weren’t listening.”

“You’ll have to forgive me for taking some time to adjust after my woman was kidnapped, taken from my protection, and beaten. Given a whole new set of nightmares to add to the old ones.”

She softened. “I’m sorry, Alec. You’re right. I forgot this wasn’t just about me.”

He reached down, raised her chin. “But that doesn’t mean that you’re going to go unpunished for what you just did. Clearly, you’re in need of a firmer hand. And luckily, I’m ready to give that to you.”

“And you won’t hold back any longer,” she blurted out hopefully.

“What?” He frowned.

“I know you’ve always held back a bit because you didn’t think I could handle it, or you’re worried about scaring me. But I know who you are, Alec. I saw you. You. That night you rescued me. I saw your darker side, and do you know what I thought when I did?”

“No,” he whispered.

“I thought, thank God. Because here was the man who would do whatever it took to take care of me, protect me. Please, Alec. I want all of you. I need all of you.”

He didn’t answer for a long moment, and she thought she’d done the wrong thing.

“Go into the office and strip then lie over my desk.”

“To your office? Not the bedroom?” Disappointment filled her. She’d hoped things would be different.

“I don’t like to play in the bedroom. At least not now while you still have nightmares. I want that to be the place where you have my softer side.”

“Oh.” She could deal with that. And she took the hand he held out to her and let him pull her up.
