Rome laughed. “She means well.”

Keir nodded at his big brother before Rome put his arm around Pixie and they walked into the church where Granny was preparing to christen our son.

“Family saved me,” Keir whispered at my ear, his hand cupping my belly. “You saved me, Cricket.”

“You keep reminding me of that.”

“And I won't stop until I’m positive you know it’s true. I was broken before you, you healed me with your light.”

“Mm.” I kissed my husband. “My favorite Duke.”

“My only angel.”

“We should get in there, we don’t want to leave Granny waiting.” I hummed.

Keir pulled me into his arms. “Are you kidding? Have you been to a Viking christening? It’s about to get wild in there. You aren’t ready.”

I laughed until tears came to my eyes. “I wasn’t ready for you the day I walked into your life for the first time and where did that land me?”

“Mm,” he snaked his arms around my waist, “married to a Viking. I’d say things turned out pretty damn well, Cricket.”
