“It’s time to talk, sugar.”

I took a deep breath, let it out.

“Yeah, I know.”

I felt like a teenager caught out after curfew. Worse.

“You scared the shit out of me. Do you have any idea how I felt when Shane called me and told me you were at the house of a murderer?”

I looked down at the wood floor, my socked feet.

Shane spoke up. “Even if he wasn’t the guy who’d killed Erin and secretly recorded fucking half of Cutthroat, you knew about my dad. I told you he was violent. That he hit women. Kids.”

“He had to be put away. I know this sounds lame, but I tried calling Nix.”

Shane paced. “There’s no reception for a stretch between my cabin and town. Like Nix said, we should spank your ass, make sure you don’t sit for a week and remember you’re not John Wayne.”

I looked to Shane, tipped my chin up. “For a guy who got smacked around as a kid, you want to lay a hand on me?”

Shane looked grim. “Don’t compare what my dad did with what Finch and I are going to do to you.”

Glancing between them, they had similar expressions. Anger, hurt, frustration, desire. My lips were suddenly dry. “What… what are you going to do?”

“Show you how much you mean to us,” Finch said. “Hell, we’ve only known you a few days, but we told you, first thing. When you know, you know. Today proved that life is short, that there’s no reason to waste time when what you want is right in front of you.”

“What do you want?” I asked. My heart was in my throat, and for once I was eager for the dominance in his tone.

“You,” Shane said, taking a step toward me. “On Nix’s voice mail you said you loved me. Is that true?”

I looked to him, nodded. My heart was wide open, ready to be held or crushed. “I… I think so. I’ve never felt this way before. About both of you.” I looked to Finch, made sure he knew he was included in my words.

“Good. We’re not letting you go,” Shane said.

“Being tossed in jail didn’t change my mind about watching out for those I care about,” Finch stated. “If handcuffing you to my bed will keep you safe, I’ll do it.”

“Living with a guy who beat the shit out of me didn’t make me grow up to be like him,” Shane added. “The opposite. I protect what’s mine. You. I agree with Finch. And don’t for a second think us being possessive means we’re anything like your ex.”

I sighed, smiled. I didn’t feel the walls I’d put around my heart. I didn’t fight the feelings I had for these two. For once I let go. Gave in. Opened my heart. They could be as possessive as they wanted because they were wrapping me in love, not control.

“I know. I want… I want you both. Completely. Not just for sex. For a relationship. For… well, maybe forever.”

The tension left their bodies like air from a balloon.

Finch came over, tucked my hair back. “We’ll take forever, sugar, but let’s start with today.”

“Now,” Shane added, pressing into my side. “The real world will creep back in soon enough. For now let’s forget.”

I nodded and kissed Shane. I didn’t hold back, showed him through the kiss that I was all in. I pulled back, turned to Finch and kissed him as well. Both of them needed to know how I felt. Words weren’t enough.

“Want to fuck here on the kitchen counter or in bed?” Shane asked.

“Bed,” I said, pulling back from Finch’s lips.

Finch led me to his bedroom, and between the two of them, they stripped me. Then I took turns helping them out of their clothes. Only when we were bare, body and soul, did we tumble into bed.

Hands roamed over me. I didn’t know who was touching me where, only that my nipples were being sucked and plucked, my pussy caressed, fingers sliding in to ready me for their big cocks.

“Soon, sugar, we’ll take you together. I’ll take your ass, Shane your pussy.”
