Bad Bad Girl
“I thought it was legal!” Coley defended. “How was I to know we would be arrested? I bought it at one of those shops. Besides,” she continued as she stared at Rebecca, “you’re the one who picked the spot. And when the cops pulled up, you said we were fine. You said it was legal to smoke pot now. We didn’t hide the stuff because of you!”
Rebecca shrugged. “It’s not a big deal. I’m sure it’s just a fine or something. We’ll be bailed out soon, and this will all be something we can look back on and laugh at.”
Neely shook her head. “There’s nothing funny about this. Being bailed out is just when this gets worse for me. Caine is literally going to kill me! When I called him, I could tell he was livid. He was calm. Calm Caine is never a good Caine.”
Coley nodded. “Vance wasn’t happy either. I’m thinking I might enjoy sleeping here for the night more than going home.”
“You guys are overreacting. No one is going to be mad at you.” Even as Rebecca said the words, she knew she was wrong. The ladies had two alpha men to deal with when they got home. At least she was lucky she didn’t have to deal with that. But then again… she envied that they had someone to come home to. Someone who cared about their well-being.
“Did you call Sawyer?” Neely asked.
“No. Why would I do that? I was hoping Caine would just bail me out. I’ll pay him back.” The thought of calling Sawyer had crossed her mind, but it didn’t seem right. They’d only been dating for such a short time. When in a relationship do you reach the ‘honey come bail me out’ stage?
“Why didn’t you call him? He would be here in a second to get you out of here,” Neely pressed.
Rebecca shrugged and glanced again at Pirate Woman on the bench who now dozed, her chin resting against her chest. She still looked mean, even in sleep. “We’re not like you and Caine, or Coley and Vance. I don’t want to involve him in this mess. Besides, it would take him way too long to get here.”
“But he would want to know this,” Coley added. “You guys are close enough that he would be angry that you didn’t call him.”
Rebecca shrugged again. “Maybe. But what he doesn’t know won’t kill him.”
“Oh no, I wouldn’t go there. When you date a man who lives DD, you’d better change that way of thinking real quick,” Neely informed her. “When he finds out—and he will—he is going to make sure you don’t sit comfortably for a week.”
Rebecca snorted. “Come on.” The absurdity of the conversation amused her. “Spanking for fun or to enhance sex is one thing. Or I can see a spanking that stings a bit for small infractions and all. I mean, I’m starting to understand the appeal of feeling submissive. But a real spanking for punishment? A spanking that has you both nervous? Please.” She looked at Neely and then at Coley. “Are you guys telling me that Vance and Caine are really going to spank you? Like, for real?” She had been spanked by Sawyer now a couple of times, but nothing that had lingered for more than an hour or so. Definitely nothing that would have her pacing the jail cell the way Neely was.
Both ladies nodded with a look of dread on their faces.
“It’s part of the DD lifestyle. It’s what we agreed to,” Neely said.
“It isn’t all fun little play spanks all the time. Sometimes they hurt like a bitch. A punishment spanking is way different to what you have experienced. Trust me,” Coley added.
“You’ve got to be kidding! Are you both worried about really getting punished?” Rebecca couldn’t help but smile. The idea almost made her laugh out loud.
“Yes!” Coley shot back. “And you can wipe that smirk off your face. Trust me, you’ll be in the same boat once Sawyer finds out.”
“But he won’t find out,” Rebecca clarified. “And even if he did, I seriously doubt he would punish me. Not something I need to worry about, at least.”
“That’s what you think,” Neely muttered.
“I thought you were starting to understand DD,” Coley said. “Why are you acting so shocked by the fact that Neely and I are concerned for our backsides?”
Rebecca remained silent. Maybe she didn’t understand DD. She had done some research, her friends all practiced it, but she really didn’t understand why Neely and Coley were so anxious to face the men they loved. “What exactly is going to happen to you guys? What are Caine and Vance going to do?”
Neely groaned as she closed her eyes. Coley scrunched up her face and shook her head.
“What? Why do guys act like it’s going to be so bad? Even if they spank you, it’s just a spanking. No big deal.”
