You Are Mine (The Lycans 2)

I was racing down the stairs before I even knew I’d moved, and then lunged for her before she got to the door. I curled my hands around her waist and she gave an aroused, excited cry just as I spun her around and pressed her to the wall.

We both breathed hard, our chests brushing together with our frantic respirations. I was frantic for her. Feral.

“Luca,” she moaned, and the sight of her fangs so long and sharp had a spear of lust slamming right through my cock.

I wasn’t thinking rationally right now, not as I gripped her chin and tipped her head to the side, running my nose up and down her throat, inhaling her—scenting my mate.

“You’re so fucking ready for me,” I groaned. “Your pussy is soaked, dripping, and would take my cock so easily.” I ground my aching erection against her belly, both of us making strangled noises. “You’d drench my length, wouldn’t you?”

“Take me right here,” she cried out and pressed her chest against mine. “I don’t want the chase. I need you now.” She kept moaning as if she couldn’t stop herself. “I just want you. Forget the need our wolves are demanding.” Her eyes glowed in the way of her vampire kind. In the way of the Otherworld.

She was so ready for… everything from me.

“But you do want the chase, little mate.” I lifted my head and brushed my lips across hers, not adding pressure just terrorizing both of us erotically. “This first time you want to run free and feel the wind in your hair. You want your mate stalking you through the woods in his wolf form. Say it,” I demanded.

She shook her head, her eyes closed, her moans loud.

“Say it,” I growled.

“Yes,” Ainslee breathed. “I want the chase. I want you to catch me. My wolf demands it.”

I ran my tongue over her bottom lip before wrenching myself away from her. She was gone before I inhaled. I heard the front door open and slam against the wall from the force of her motions.

It wouldn’t matter how fast she was, how long she ran. I’d find her. I’d always find my mate.

I kept my pace even, normal as I stepped onto the lawn and walked toward the edge of the property where the forest butted up to the yard. I could smell Ainslee’s scent... her arousal, her excitement at the chase. She wanted this as much as I did.

And tonight, we’d be bound together forever, irrevocably, with my mark on her neck and her fangs in my throat.

I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, the wind carrying her sweetness like an intimate caress. I knew which direction she went, could imagine her bare feet moving over the foliage, her long hair whipping behind her as she ran.

I tipped my head back and opened my eyes, looking at the sky, seeing the moon high, full. Although the moon didn’t force the change upon us like folklore said, it was powerful, especially when we were claiming our mates.

And so I let my beast break through in a rush of pain and anticipation and relief. He hadn’t been released in far too many years. And he howled in pleasure. He was hungry, anxious to do this, to finally have power again.

I felt my bones snapping and realigning, roared out as my skin tore and was replaced with fur. I fell to my hands and knees just as my fingers turned into paws, my nails into claws.

The pain of shifting after not doing it for so long was intense, but my insanity made it harder and harder with each passing day.

Each passing year.

Each passing decade.

But I reveled in the agony of finally letting my wolf free, that our mate gave us the power to overcome this.

I tipped my head back and bellowed, my voice carrying far into the woods. My face morphed into that of my Lycan, my teeth sharpening and morphing into canines. I growled and knew my little female could hear me, sense me.

She knew I was coming for her.

This first coupling would be fierce and raw, animalistic and uninhibited. I wouldn’t be able to control myself, not after I’d waited so long for her.

But I knew how ready she was for me. She’d take all of me and ask for more. She’d be just as frenzied as I would be, her half Lycan side coming forth for this. She may never be able to shift, and her wolf would always be dormant, but right now, right here, it would give her power.

And knowing she needed what only my body could give her, knowing the blood that ran through my veins would sustain her, pleased me to no end.

I roared again as that last piece of my humanity faded away and my wolf burst free in a surge of pain and ripping, tearing, and destruction.
