Thor & Stacey

« Prev  Chapter  Next »

When she went out this morning, we got into a little fight because she wanted to go shopping for something to wear for our thirty-eighth anniversary. I tried to tell her that clothes were not necessary for what I have planned. That’s when the fight happened. She went to the mall in Minnesota six hours ago. I know she’s trying hard to make a point by being gone this long, but honestly whatever she buys will be ripped off of her body and thrown into a heap in the bedroom.

When she finally comes home, I am lying in wait.

“Are you still mad?” she asks, smirking at me.

“I wasn’t ever mad. I was just saying that I’ve already made plans and clothes are not needed.”

“We’re just going to fuck all day?” she asks, sarcastically.

“Since when has that been a problem?”

“Well, never but,” she begins. I have to stop her.

“But nothing. Besides, you know what you do to me when you say fuck like that,” I say, taking the shopping bags from her hands and setting them on the floor by the couch.

“Thor,” she warns but I can tell she doesn’t mean it. Her sultry little smirk still gets me.

The best thing about the kids being out of the house is our games aren’t restricted to our bedroom anymore.

When my lips find her neck, she melts into me. “So soft. All mine,” I murmur as I alternate between kissing and sucking on her neck.

“How can you still do this to me after all these years?” she asks, moaning. That fucking moan goes all through me.

“Because you are my sjelefrende—my soul mate. My everything,” I tell her.

“You are everything to me as well,” she says, turning to face me.

“I know,” I say before kissing her.

She truly is the best part of me. Everything I am, everything I have is because of her. This family we’ve made together is better because of her and I refuse to imagine my life without her.

“I love you wife,” I murmur as I undress her.

“I love you husband,” she replies as I slam into her.

Over and over, forever and ever. Nothing can come between us.

Epilogue

Stacey

2019

It has been one month since we lost Enid and the beacon of light that guided this family. It took us all by surprise though a few comments from Thom made, have the rest of us believing they knew it was coming and kept the rest of us in the dark.

Her funeral was solemn, but also filled with love and memories. We all cried, laughed and remembered. Enid loved her family more than anything and it showed, every single day. My husband took it hard. He was the first born and they were extremely close. I have always admired the friendship they had outside of their mother/son relationship. Now, one month later, we are all trying to find our footing and figure out how to navigate this life without her spunk and sass. Thank God we all have each other.

My mind continues to wander as I pull out the baked chicken from the oven. The counter is covered in food for our usual Sunday dinner. My heart weeps for a second that this will be the fourth Sunday without her joining us, but I know she would be happy that we are continuing. “Mmm. Everything smells good, wife.” Thor walks into the kitchen and kisses my neck.

“Hey you. None of that. Everyone will be arising soon.” I swat his hand away from my ass and shake my head.

“Well those cockblockers can wait. I haven’t been with my wife in ages.” Ages!! Really!?! He is such a man.

“Hardly. I couldn’t get you off me for hours this morning. Heck, we were late for church as it was,” I say, trying to scold him but fail. It’s hard to be mad at a man that after 38 years married, is still in love with me… his wife. My body is far from what it used to be after seven children and an infinity for sweets, but you would never know it by the way I have to dodge him sometimes.

“It’s your own fault woman. You are always teasing me with that ass of yours, walking around our house swaying back and forth, calling my name.” His tongue drags down the middle of my neck and I shiver. It never ceases. It can undo me in seconds.

He spins me around and begins unbuttoning my shirt. I know I should stop him since we are going to have a house full of people in minutes, but I am too busy looking at this sexy man of mine. Age has done wonders for him. He has always been a force. A Viking in his own right, but something about his gray hair and beard make him hard, sexy and so damn formidable it keeps me in a constant state of arousal. “You about done, Stace?” My eyes lock on him and I see the twinkle that was there forty-three years ago when he was in the halls of the high school.
