Vegas With Dad's Best Friend
She gasps out as I break for oxygen, turning my head to kiss and nuzzle at her neck. She throws her head back willingly, letting me have better access. One of my hands scoops up the hem of her dress, pushing it up her thigh, my fingers trailing higher beneath it.
“Oh, god,” she says, her legs falling open under me.
“Do you want me to stop?” I ask, between kisses along her shoulder blade. I have to nudge her dress to the side with my nose to get access.
“No,” she says, her voice breathy and gasping. “But…”
“What?” I ask immediately, pulling back a little. I don’t look down, to my credit, even though my hands already know what my eyes would see. I’ve pushed her dress up high enough to reveal her panties, and the front of her dress is open enough to show a slice of her bra.
“Oh, it’s… not, it’s nothing,” she says, suddenly going bright red.
Which is, not to make a pun, a huge red flag.
“What is it?” I ask, my hands pulling away from her body. “Savannah, I don’t want to go any further if you have any doubts. Tell me.”
There’s only one chance to get this right. I don’t want to spoil any hope of this being a long term thing by not respecting her and her body. Even if it wasn’t absolutely the right thing to do, I would still want to wait and get this right.
“It’s just… I don’t want you to expect something,” she says, her face still burning as she stares at the floor. “I’m… I’m a virgin.”
“Alright, who’s ready to play some blackjack?” The dealer asks in a bright and cheerful tone, pushing in through the curtain at exactly the worst moment.
Chapter Fourteen
Savannah
I almost scream as the stranger comes into the room, right as I deliver my most embarrassing confession. Even telling Jonas that I used to have a crush on him when I was a kid was nowhere near as bad as this. He must think I’m an inexperienced, silly little kid.
And now there’s a strange woman in the room, who I belatedly realize is wearing the uniform of the casino, and I’m half undressed.
I quickly yank my clothes back into place, hoping she didn’t see more than she was supposed to – which I suppose is a vain hope because there’s no way she missed what was happening when she came in. I don’t think she heard what I said, but that doesn’t exactly make it better.
“Oh,” Jonas says, clearly just as surprised and taken aback as I am. I guess we had both forgotten that we weren’t going to be alone forever. “Sorry, I… I think we just need a minute, actually.”
“Absolutely, sir,” the dealer says, giving us a professional – if slightly dazed – smile and backing out through the curtain again. “I’ll just be back in five minutes to start the game.”
I hug my arms tight across my chest, in absolute shock and horror. I can’t believe that just happened.
“I guess we should play a few games,” Jonas says, his voice a little rough. “They did give us the VIP room, after all. It would be bad form to leave without spending a bit of money.”
“Of course,” I say, feeling absolutely wretched. There’s no chance he wants me now. He’s probably going to play a few games for the sake of it and then get out of here as quickly as he can, and I only have myself to blame.
Why did I have to ruin everything? I could have just pretended I have some experience and let him do what he wanted. It’s not like I’m desperately clinging to my V-card and saving myself. I’ve just never met someone I wanted to lose it with until now – but I definitely want to lose it to him.
“Oh,” he says, making a soft sound that is quite different from his shocked response to the croupier’s entry. It’s tender, and gentle, and makes my heart ache. “I… Savannah, about what you just said…”
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have opened my dumb mouth,” I say immediately, shaking my head. “Please, just forget it. Can you forget it?”
“I don’t want to forget it.” A slow smile curves Jonas’ lips, despite my fears. “You should have told me. That was the right thing. And it doesn’t make me want you any less.”
“It doesn’t?” I ask. My heart leaps right up at his words. I haven’t screwed everything up?
“Not at all. But it does make me want to take much better care of you.” Jonas leans down and plants a soft kiss on my cheek. “A private room in the back of a seedy casino isn’t the right place to lose your virginity. It should be special – really special. I want to do that for you.”
