Resolution Pact: First Kiss
“I booked us a flight—a private one.” I walked over and sat down beside her. “It has a cabin—and a bed. How would you like to join the Mile High Club before you get back to New York?”
“You might find a way to persuade me.” She slid into my arms and grinned.
“I’m not the persuasive one, Ms. Lingerie.” I leaned down and nibbled her ear. “And don’t think that you’re going to run back to your sorority house and forget about me when we get home, either…”
“Are you going to kidnap me if I do?” She looked at me and giggled.
“I just might…” I nodded and smiled.
We finished up at the hotel and took a car to the airport. As soon as the plane was in the air, I pulled Brittany into the cabin and locked the door. She was just as eager as she was the night before and it didn’t take us long to end up naked on the bed. The flight from Los Angeles to New York was a lot longer
since we weren’t flying in a military prototype and we spent the entire time chasing our desires. We were both card-carrying members of the Mile High Club by the time the plane touched down on the runway in New York.
“Want me to drop you off at the sorority house?” I walked hand-in-hand with Brittany as we headed into the terminal.
“Yeah, I guess that would work.” She nodded and looked at me with a smile. “If you’re tired of me already.”
“I’m not tired of you.” I shook my head back and forth. “I’d take you back to my place and spend the entire day with you’d let me.”
“I mean—I wouldn’t stop you.” She bit down on her bottom lip. “I might need a change of clothes first though.”
“Why? If I take you back to my place, you won’t be wearing any.” I squeezed her hand and led her towards the car.
We went back to my place and picked up where we left off when the plane touched down in New York. Brittany’s appetite was insatiable, and it was hard to believe she had just lost her virginity the night before. It had been a long time since I was with someone with a sex drive like that, and I took advantage of it as often as I could before the sun finally went down. We took a break to order some food, watch a movie, and then we were right back in the bedroom. I was so tired by the time we were done that I was pretty sure I would need to sleep for days to recover.
But if I sleep, I might miss a minute with her—and I want to cherish every single one of them.
I stared at the ceiling for nearly an hour with Brittany in my arms. We might have only been together for a day, but I already knew that it was going to be extremely hard to let her go. It might have started as a random date with a beautiful girl I saw standing in the street, but it had quickly turned into the most exciting nights of my life. I knew, deep inside that there was more than pulled us together than desire and happenstance. Call it kismet, karma, or just plain old fate—I wasn’t going to ignore it.
I don’t think I’ll ever stop smiling if I wake up next to her every morning.
Three months later
“Are you going out with Bradley again?” Lexi walked into my bedroom at the sorority house as I put the final touches on my makeup.
“Of course.” I turned towards her and smiled. “It’s our three month anniversary, so we are going to celebrate by spending the weekend in Los Angeles.”
“Things seem to be moving pretty quick.” Lexi sat down on the edge of my bed. “At this rate, he’ll be popping the question by Christmas.”
“I don’t think he’s going to pop the question anytime soon.” I sat down beside her and giggled under my breath. “I need to graduate from college first!”
I was wrong. As soon as I got to the hotel in Los Angeles, I walked in to find rose petals on the floor that led to the bedroom. When I followed them to the bedroom, I saw that the entire room decorated with roses. I turned back towards Bradley with a shocked expression on my face and saw him down on one knee with a ring in his hand.
“Will you marry me?” He tilted his head to the side.
“Seriously?!” I stared at the massive diamond as he took my hand and slid it on my finger.
“I know it’s quick.” He held the diamond in place. “But, I’m a man who knows what he wants—and what I want is you—forever.”
“Yes.” I nodded quickly. “Of course I’ll marry you!”
Bradley stood to his feet and smiled as he pulled me close for a kiss that immediately set my heart on fire. I couldn’t believe he asked me to become his wife! There was no way I would have said anything but yes. I knew what I wanted as well, and while I would have been fine waiting a little bit longer, I was thrilled to have a ring on my left hand—a ring that would be joined by a gold band as soon as we planned our wedding.
“I’ve got a surprise for you too.” I leaned back from our kiss. “Not quite as amazing as this—but—I’m wearing something special under my dress.”
“Oh really?” Bradley pushed the strap off my shoulder. “This looks familiar…”
“It should.” I giggled. “It’s what I was wearing the first time we were here.”
