Our Way
“Put your dress on.”
He turns me toward the bedroom and smacks my behind hard. I yelp.
“And stop making me hard before I go out.”
“Yes, dear.” I smile as I walk into the bedroom. I put my dress on and catch sight of myself in the mirror. My face is flushed and aroused. I smile broadly.
Nathan Mercer, you are a bad man.

We walk into the ballroom half an hour later. It’s beautiful and grand. Although I can’t really appreciate the splendor because I’m too aroused.
Nathan had his hand up my dress the entire car ride here. He wouldn’t let me come. He’d get me to the edge and pull back, again and again.
Payback, he called it. I call it torture. That will teach me to prick tease. It was an epic fail because I just prick teased myself. It’s me who’s about to come with the change of the wind…not him.
How am I going to get through the night without humping him on the dancefloor?
I feel a dull ache in my vagina as he leads me to our table.
“Hello.” We arrive and take our seats. “I’m Nathan and this is Eliza, my girlfriend.” He introduces us and we smile and shake hands with our table buddies. Nathan’s hand goes to mine in my lap, and he takes it in his.
Eliza, my girlfriend.
That’s the first time he’s ever said that out loud. It sounds good. I like it. Love it, actually.
“Do you want a drink, darling?” he asks.
“Yes, please. Bubbles.”
“Okay.” He smiles mischievously and puts his mouth to my ear. “Would you like to go to the bathroom with me?”
“Don’t tempt me,” I whisper back. “I’m not even joking, Nathan, I’m aching.”
“Good.” He chuckles and kisses me quickly. “Back in a minute. Ache away.”
I watch him disappear to the bar. He’s so handsome in his black dinner suit. People greet him, and he shakes hands with people he sees along the way.
I smile proudly. He’s so well respected in the industry. Another older couple come to find their place at our table.
“Oh, Eliza.” The lady smiles. “Hello, again, my dear.”
“Nadia.” I smile as I kiss her cheek. “How are you?”
Nadia’s husband Peter is an oncologist in the children’s floor where I used to work. I know them well.
“Hello, Eliza.” Peter kisses my cheek. “We miss you on the children’s floor.”
My heart drops. “I miss it, too. You never know what the future may hold.” I wink.
I glance over to the bar and see Nathan talking to that pretty woman I saw him talking to in the hospital last week. She’s laughing, all animated, and he smiles back at her. My eyes roam up and down her body. She’s beautiful with a figure to die for. Dark hair and olive skin. She says something as she rubs his upper arm, and the hairs on the back of my neck rise. Don’t touch him.
I sip my glass of water as I watch the two of them. He seems very comfortable with her. When did I become such a green-eyed monster?
“Tell me about your new job?” Peter interrupts my thoughts.
“It’s great,” I lie. “I’m working for a plastic surgeon as the office manager. Just needed a break from nursing for a little while; I’ll be back soon. I’m missing it too much.”
