Knocked up by the Mechanic

“Gee, thanks.”

“I like your scent better,” she said. She inhaled deeply with her face in my armpit. Her bare leg across my lap was making my dick hard. Harley was built like a dancer, pure long and lean muscle. Beautiful bronzed skin and a dusting of freckles. She smelled good too, like sweet and fresh all at once. I wanted to taste her. Eat her up. Steal her funny little heart.

“Get off, I gotta go. I’ll set the alarm on the way out.” I slapped her thigh and she responded by squeezing her inner thighs more tightly around my waist.

Jesus fucking Christ.

“I’m lonely, Wyatt. And I get scared all alone,” she said in a small voice.

“Nope. Sorry. Not going there. I’ll be over tomorrow to supervise the pickup for transport to the show. I need my beauty sleep, too, princess.”

“Can I come to your house?”

I laughed at that suggestion. Bring Harley, on my bike, to fucking South Banks. For-fucking-get-it.

“’Fraid not, little thing. I can take you up to bed and tuck you in,” I offered. It was my best offer, even that I was scared of doing.

Harley sat up and slipped one thigh over my lap until she was straddling me, her lazy drunk arms still draped around my neck. She put the top of her head to my chin and sat like that for a moment. Her body was so soft and warm, so delicate, but the booze made her emboldened. She lay her head on my chest and gave me a hug, while her panty-covered center matched up right over my erection. I wanted to hug her back, to ravage her mouth and breasts, dip deep inside her until she creamed so hard on my dick she cried out in ecstasy.

“I don’t want to be alone,” she told me.

“Harley, first off, I’m never gonna fuck you. It’s not that I don’t want to or don’t think you’re attractive. I don’t mix with your crowd and for a good fucking reason. Secondly, I’m even less likely to fuck you drunk. I don’t hook up unless my partner is in full charge of her faculties—meaning sober as a judge.”

She rose a little and then did something with her hips so that she caressed my boner through the denim with her center again. I threw my head back and groaned.

Her hair was in her face and she flipped it back with her hands, then moved in fast and sucked my bottom lip into her mouth.

“What about for sucking dick? How sober do you want me?”

I shoved her off me. It was my only recourse to not lose control and tear her fucking clothes off.

“Listen, I’ll make you a pot of coffee, sit with you until I’m sure you’re sober, and then I’m taking the fuck off. We’re not fucking Harley. Not tonight, not ever.” I walked away from her crumpled body on the couch. I could sense the tears coming and I was mush when women I cared about cried right in front of me.

In the kitchen, I turned on the big overhead lights, drowning any chance of seduction in bold and bright lights. I found the regular old drip coffee maker in the cabinet above the fancy espresso machine and I started a pot that we could both drink. Harley dragged her body into the kitchen and plunked down on the stool like a sullen teenager. I took two boxes of gourmet cookies from the pantry and set them on the marble island.

“You sure know your way around my house for a mechanic,” she said as she tore the top off one of the boxes. She shoved a giant chocolate covered cookie into her mouth and looked at me with hate in her eyes. “How’d you even get in? You know the code to the main house?”

I knew what she was doing. Channeling her bitchy friends to see if she could lure me into a hate fuck.

I poured her a giant mug of black coffee and slid it across the table. She lifted it shakily to her pretty lips and blew and slurped in an alternating sequence. I dipped my cookies into the coffee and we ate and drank in silence as the mood lightened in the room.

“Sorry, Wyatt,” she said. “I was being stupid. Thank you for saving me and taking me home.”

“S’okay, Harley. I’m glad you’re okay,” I told her.

“I know you’re like that with those prep-schoolers because of what happened to Kat.”

I swallowed hard and kept my poker face calm.

“I didn’t really know the whole story until yesterday.”

“Don’t apologize, Harley. You weren’t around, your mom was dying.”

“I’d like to think that if I was, I would have been there for you. I didn’t know Kat, but if she was anything like you, she must have been great.”

I wanted her to shut up. I could feel tears prick the backs of my eyes and apparently, smashing faces hadn’t been enough to do the trick tonight.
