Commander Raa-ling’s smile faded a fraction. “Yes.”

His openness threw her off balance.

“You can watch me too. Anytime you like,” he said. “In fact, if you’d like to watch me while I was watching you, you can.”

He stood and moved to the living room, then pressed a button on a small control box on the wall. A screen just like the one in her room lowered from the ceiling. He pressed a couple of buttons on the control panel, and his image showed on the screen, his face intently watching the camera.

“Do you see how turned on you make me?”

Her gaze shifted to the image of his huge erection. Amazingly, as his hand slid up and down, it grew even longer.

“You can change the viewing angle here.”

The image shifted. Eva could now see the image he watched and flushed hotly as she saw herself riding that damned dildo, her breasts bouncing up and down. She glanced away. He switched the view back to himself staring directly at the camera, but she could still hear her moans in the background.

She strode to the monitor and jabbed at buttons until it switched off.

“So everyone on the ship has seen me?” Her strong, angry words belied the weakness she felt inside.

“No, these quarters are not broadcast to the whole ship.”

Relief surged through her.

“Well, thank God for that.”

“You shouldn’t be embarrassed. Sex is a beautiful thing.”

She exhaled sharply. “Not in my experience.”

His eyes glittered in intensity. “Eva, I know your husband didn’t treat you right, but I’m not like him. You are my whole world.”

He reached for her hand, but she snatched it away. The intensity of being this close to him was already too much to handle, throwing her seriously off-balance.

“You don’t even know me.”

“I do know you.” He flattened his hand on his chest. “In here. My heart knows you. My soul knows you. Eva, if you let me make love to you, you will understand. The bliss you will find in my arms will change your mind. And open your heart.”

She raised her eyebrows.

“You think a lot of yourself, don’t you?”

“No. I think a lot of you. I know joining with you will be the greatest experience I will ever know.”

His turquoise eyes acted like magnets. She could not help but gaze into them. He meant it. Everything he’d just said. She could see it in those warm, serenely honest eyes.

“I love you more than life itself.”

She dragged her gaze away. She didn’t want him to love her. Didn’t want him to want her.

“I don’t love you,” she tossed back.

His hand brushed against her cheek tenderly, and she melted inside, wanting so much to give herself over to this vibrant need.

“You would if you let yourself.”

Her throat tightened as tears prickled at her eyes.

“No,” she choked out, then marched to her room.
