Reaching forward, he rubbed his fingers against her clit through the crotch of her panties.

Sara felt sparks run through her body as she felt the rough, foreign sensation against her clit. Immediately another orgasm started to build. Almost sobbing with pleasure now, her body tightened around his cock again.

Panting his name, she said, “Oh god. Deacon.”

“Sara. Fuck. Come for me again. Come for me. That’s it!”

Hearing him groan her name, the orgasm that had been building inside her exploded. She felt Deacon slam his hips into her a few more times, curse, then collapse against her back for a moment.

Leaning her forehead down directly on the bed now, she panted and said, “Jesus Christ, Deacon.”

Mumbling, he pulled himself out of her then said, “Oh shit.”

Turning her head back, Sara looked at him confused.

He said, “The condom broke.”

His eyes a little wide, he said, “Be right back.”

Walking into the bathroom, he discarded the broken condom, washed his hands, then walked back into the bedroom.

Sara had rolled over to look at him now, but didn’t say anything.

He lay back down and said, without preamble, “I’ve not had sex without a condom since I was engaged. I’ve been tested and I’m disease free.”

Nodding, Sara said, “Same here. And I’m clean, too.”

Looking at her, he asked hopefully, “Please tell me you’re on the pill or something?”

Sara looked away for a minute, knowing she was going to have to just say it now. This was the first time she’d ever had to explain this to a lover other than her ex-fiancé. She was afraid that this, though not important right this minute in their relationship, would somehow be a deal breaker for Deacon.

Taking a deep breath, she forged ahead.

“I’m not going to get pregnant. I can’t have children. I had cancer my freshman year of college and had to have a full hysterectomy.”

Blinking, Deacon must have seen the pained look on her face because he said, “Shit. I’m sorry. Come here, honey,” and pulled her into his arms.

Stroking her hair, he placed a kiss on the top of her head and just held her, neither of them speaking.

After a few minutes, Sara pulled away from him and said, “Is it okay if I go take a shower? I need a minute.”

Looking at her, his expression unreadable, he said, “Sure. There are towels in the linen closet. You okay?”

Nodding, but not quite meeting his eyes, she said, “Yeah. Just need a minute.”

Walking into the other room, she turned on the shower. Sliding out of her slightly stretched-out panties, her hands shook. Grabbing a towel while the water heated up, she opened the door and stepped into the stall. Leaning against the wall, she let the warm water cascade over her for a few minutes. She flinched slightly when she heard the shower door open, but didn’t move until she felt his strong arms wrap around her.

Moving away from the wall, she turned around and laid her forehead on his chest. They stood there under the spray, him stroking his hand down her back, placing light kisses on top of her head every so often.

After a few moments, she straightened and said, “Sorry that got a little weird. It bugs me, but…it is what it is, you know?”

Deacon just watched her, like he didn’t know what to say.

Trying to make the moment less awkward, she said, “But hey, I’m not gonna get pregnant!”

Shaking his head, he said, “Don’t do that. Don’t trivialize it. Obviously it bothers you.”

Leaning back, Deacon scrutinized her face for a moment and asked, “You’re sure you’re okay?”
