Chasing Trouble (Chasing Love 1)
“Ah, yes!”
She whipped her hips in his lap faster. Colt sucked harder. Biting the tip, then licking away the sting. He wrapped both arms around her, splaying his hands on her back. Every nerve ending in his fingertips needed to feel her. Her shoulders tensed beneath his touch. Her tiny little waist moved back and forth, up and down as inch after blessed inch of soft, sweet skin wrapped around him. Face buried in her breasts, he clung to her like a life force.
“Colt, I’m going to…”
He snapped his head up. Though he hated relinquishing her perfect plump flesh, he wanted to see this. Winding his fingers in her hair, he locked his eyes on hers.
Her brows furrowed, then rose high, but she kept those steely gray eyes on his. Her orgasm overtook her. A look of shock and awe painted her face. Her whole body hummed and convulsed in his arms and he was right there to catch her. Her core convulsed and milked him over and over, demanding him to follow.
He couldn’t hold on any longer.
He came hard, but he didn’t realize just how hard until he saw Jenna’s eyes widen. “I feel it, Colt. Feel you.”
He didn’t doubt it. He was worried he might have busted the condom because he’d never come like that before. Watching Jenna shatter in his arms—surrounded by her scent—he surely felt her.
Bone-deep felt her.
They sat there for long moments. Minutes or hours could have passed, he didn’t know. Colt just hugged her against him and buried his face in the crook of her neck. JJ rested her cheek against the top of his head while running her fingers through his hair.
He knew both of them were content to never leave that moment, or each other.
Chapter Fifteen
Jenna picked Colt’s shirt off the floor and tugged it on. They had gotten to the cabin late last night, and by the time Colt carried her inside, Jenna had barely been able to keep her eyes open.
She rose from bed and quietly tiptoed to the bedroom door, pausing at the footboard to take in the sight. Colt was lying on his stomach, hair rumpled, arm outstretched to where Jenna had just been, only a sheet covering his bottom half.
And there were claw marks down his back.
She smiled.
She probably should feel bad about leaving welts on him, but she just couldn’t. Waking up to a sight like this was a mighty fine way to greet the day.
She slipped from the room and looked around the little cabin. Sitting right on the edge of the lake, the far wall was made entirely of windows and gave view to the blue water and the tall grass surrounding it. The furniture was dark wood and looked handcrafted. A quilt was slung over the back of the beige couch, and a little breakfast nook sat off to the left by the kitchen. It was cute and homey and Jenna loved every little detail.
Soft purple clouds streaked along the horizon. Jenna opened the sliding door and walked along the private deck out onto the lake. She sat at the edge, feet dangling in the water, and took a deep breath.
She watched flecks of cotton from the nearby farms dance over the water’s surface as the purple hues bled into oranges and finally yellows.
A blanket enveloped her.
She looked over her shoulder to see Colt, in nothing but a pair of jeans and bare feet, take a seat behind her. He pulled her back against this chest and kissed her hair.
“Good morning.”
He wrapped those big arms around her front and hugged her like he did last night. Like he had no intention of letting her go. And to be honest, Jenna wasn’t sure she ever wanted him to. When she was in Colt’s arms, she felt safe. Felt happy.
“Morning.” Jenna tilted her chin at the sunrise. “Beautiful, isn’t it?”
Colt tucked a lock of hair behind her ear before he kissed it. “Yes. Very.” A shiver surged down her spine.
“Thank you for bringing me here, Colt.”
He caught her chin in the crook of his finger and angled her face toward his. “Anytime, sugar.”
He kissed her and she melted. Just before she could throw her arms around him, he pulled away and helped her to her feet.
“Come on. I need to feed you if you’re to have energy for everything I have in mind.”
