Chasing Trouble (Chasing Love 1)
…
Colt tossed his hat on the coffee table, then reached behind his neck and grabbed the collar of his shirt, dragging it over his shoulders and off.
“I wasn’t asking, I was making a point…” Jenna’s mouth—and other body parts—went wet when she was greeted with all that tan skin and toned muscles. When he started working his belt, the hard planes of his torso flexed and she had to wipe drool away from her chin.
“And what was that point?”
Her eyes snapped up. “Huh?”
Colt grinned and shed his jeans, leaving him in a pair of black boxer-briefs—which seemed to be getting tighter by the second.
“Ready for that swim? Or are you still playing coy?”
“I’m not.”
“Are too.”
Jenna realized she was backing away from Colt while he drew in on her. The look in his eyes was playful, yet dangerous. He was coming for her. If he thought she was going skinny-dipping in broad daylight, he’d have to catch her first.
“Do it,” he said.
“What?”
He lifted his chin at her. Jenna’s back hit the sliding door. “You’re tensing to run.”
She gripped the handle. “And you
want me to run from you?”
He smiled. “Makes it more fun when I catch you.”
“If you catch me,” she breathed, her voice sounding raspy all of a sudden.
“Oh, sugar, I’ll always catch you.”
Jenna threw open the door and bolted down the dock. Her heart was pounding and she heard Colt’s heavy footfalls trampling right behind her. She didn’t even make it halfway when he scooped her up. She screamed and giggled, but he held tight.
“Now you’ve asked for it,” he said and tossed her in the lake, jumping in right behind her.
Jenna sputtered and swiped hair from her eyes. Colt was on her in no time. Treading water while he fondled her ass.
“Looks like I caught you.” He grinned. “And I must say, now I really love that shirt on you.”
Jenna looked down and realized that the tiny scrap of fabric had fallen down her chest, leaving her breasts completely exposed and bobbing in the water like buoys.
She splashed Colt. He dived under the water and Jenna felt his grip on the back of her knees. He rose up, catapulting her through the air. She screamed with delight and laughed when she landed with a splash a few feet away.
“What was that for?” She giggled. Colt kissed her quick on the lips and palmed one of her breasts, gently tugging on her nipple before letting go.
“I don’t care how many times I have to throw you, those damn shorts are coming off next.”
“Wait, you’ll hurt yourself.”
“My ribs have been fine for a while now,” he said with a smile. With that, she was in the air again, laughing. Between stolen kisses and playful gropes, Jenna found herself not caring about anything except the moment. She couldn’t remember the last time she had this much fun.
Chapter Seventeen
Jenna gripped the side of the dock and began to pull herself up. Colt had made good on his promise—her shorts had come off not long after her shirt had.
