“—is to your liking, then we’ll be off. My daughter, Sadie, will be home soon. She’s quiet, will probably spend most of her time reading or studying. She’s always been a bookworm. Really smart. On scholarship at the university. A freshman. Straight-A student. But I’ll warn you. She’s very shy. A perfect lady, just like her mother.” Phoebe was a talker.
I nodded. The university had fifteen thousand students. I taught upper level Greek and ancient civilizations. There was no way I’d ever seen or spoken to her uptight daughter. Still, I smiled down into Phoebe’s eyes.
A blush crept into her papery cheeks. “So handsome. Just like your father.”
“Phoebe?” My father called from downstairs.
“Well, we’re off. Enjoy your stay and I’ll see you next week.” She embraced me, pressing her hard tits into my chest more than necessary.
“Thanks, Phoebe.”
She released me and pranced down the shiny wood stairs. I gave my father a wave and he saluted back at me.
Once they were gone and the cavernous house was silent again, I arranged my toiletries neatly in my bathroom and hung my clothes. I appreciated the orderly nature of the house. No doubt a housekeeper bustled through the place at least once every few days if not more often. I set out my books and laptop and placed a large stack of papers to grade on the desk against the bay window.
After I was satisfied with my quarters, I set out to investigate the rest of the house. Phoebe’s master suite was typical uppity rich lady material – expensive perfumes and fountain of youth creams lined her bathroom vanity. Multiple canvasses of mid-level artists hung around the room, a small fortune in paint and frames.
There were other framed photos of what must have been her daughter. A girl with red hair and freckles astride a horse, dancing ballet, and several more. Something about her seemed familiar. Perhaps I’d run into her at on campus after all.
The kitchen was large, full of stainless steel, and well stocked. Nice wine cellar, bright sun room. Swimming pool and tennis court.
I continued my inspection, wandering through the many guest rooms until I arrived at the door at the end of the upstairs hall. This must have been the prude daughter’s room. It was done in pink and white. Utterly girlish. The bed was covered in stuffed animals and lavender pillows.
I walked further into the bubblegum dream and ran my hand along the fluffy comforter. I gave the closet a brief look before opening the top drawer of the bedside table. Bingo. A large pink vibrator overpowered the drawer. Not quite so ladylike after all.
A sound from downstairs. Maybe the front door opening. I closed the drawer and walked to the top of the stairs. A girl dragged in a large suitcase and a smaller carry-on. She let the bags go and took a few more steps before leisurely stretching like a cat awakened from a nap.
I vibrated like a spider on a thread. Something about the way she moved was familiar. When she dropped her arms, her phone fell from her pocket and made a crack noise as it hit the white and gray marble in the foyer.
“Shit!” She bent over at her waist to pick it up and I knew. Right then. Sasha.
I gave a short laugh, barely audible, too pleased with my own good fortune to keep it stifled.
Her head whipped up and those eyes, even from this distance, I knew her eyes. Her hair was red and long, no longer pinned beneath the platinum blonde wig. It was her. Here. In the flesh.
“Oh, um, hi.” She glanced around before resting her gaze on mine.
“So, you, uh, you must be Gray?” Her eyes narrowed and then opened wide. Then she dropped her gaze to the floor. She recognized me, too.
Just the nearness of her was making my already-hard cock twitch in my pants.
This was too good to be true. I smiled down at her. Phoebe’s perfect little princess had a big secret. One that I could only guess Sadie would do anything to protect. I’d already considered her mine from the club. Fridays had never been enough, but I’d forced myself to make do until I found out her real name, her real address. I’d intended to take her all along. But here she was, presented to me like a sacrifice on an altar.
Now? I owned her.
Chapter Three
Sadie Lorenz
Holy shit. I stared up at my Friday night date from the club. It was him through and through. Tall and dark, brooding. The last fading rays of the sun were at his back, leaving his face mostly in shadow.
His eyes were still bright. He looked at me like he would eat me up, a big bad wolf already inside my house, no huffing or puffing necessary.
