“I did. Sugar, too.”

“Just cream.” She poured some into her cup and took a sip. “Perfect.”

“You hungry?” Matt asked.

She giggled. “You and your bottomless pit stomach. Sean, the grocery bill has got to be crazy.”

“One of the biggest,” his best friend said with a laugh.

“What about you? You’re just as bad as me.” He turned to Jena and touched her cheek. “The longer you’re around him, you’ll see I’m right. He’s just putting his best foot forward.”

“I’m sure there’s a ton to learn about you two.” She grinned. “Two boyfriends. I never dreamed of such a thing.”

“Dreams sometimes just fall in your lap, baby.” Sean poured a cup of coffee for himself.

“Seems so. I have some questions, fellows. Lots of questions.”

“Fire away,” Matt told her, enjoying being in bed next to her drinking coffee. They were all so relaxed, as if they’d been doing this every morning for years.

“Guys, we are talking about a future, right?” she asked. “I mean a forever future.”

Matt gazed into her green eyes. “I know one thing.” He kissed her tenderly on the lips. “I will never leave you, Jena.”

“You took the words out of my mouth, buddy.” Sean leaned into Jena. “You are mine. You are his. You are ours. And we are yours. Got it?” Sean pressed his mouth to hers. “Now that we’ve found you, we won’t ever let you go.”

“I don’t want you to. I want to be here with you. But this is fast. You both have to know that, too.”

“Fast doesn’t mean it isn’t right, sweetheart,” Matt told her.

“I know. My mom and dad only knew each other eight days before they eloped. They were so in love. Soul mates in every way.”

“Do you have any brothers or sisters?” Sean asked.

“I’m an only child. They wanted more and tried, according to my mom, but all they got was me.”

“Why try again when you get perfection on the first go-round?” Matt asked even though he knew it would’ve been better for her to have had a brother or sister to carry some of the load. He wasn’t sure what would’ve happened to him if he hadn’t had Sean by his side.

“Would Kimmie like a brother or sister?” Sean asked.

“It will,” he interjected, hoping to drive the point home. “This is forever.”

“I know,” she kissed his cheek. “What about children? How will that work?”

“It’ll be the luckiest child in the world,” Sean told her.

“Two dads who will shower them with love,” he added. “Plus, they will have the most wonderful mother. Look what you’ve done for Kimmie. You’ve put her first.”

“Always.” She took a deep breath.

“And we don’t want to leave out your mom,” Sean said. “How lucky will Kimmie and our new babies be to have their grandmother living in the same house?”

“Are you saying you two won’t care which one of you is the father?”

“I don’t give a damn. Mine? Matt’s? That isn’t how it will be,” Sean said the words that were on his mind.
