“Advanced classes taught by a teacher with too little time.” I step forward and take his hands, excitement filling me to the brim. “It took me ten minutes to teach him functions. Ten. Imagine what we could do with an hour.”

“You’re serious.”

“I am.”

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you like this.”

That makes me laugh. “I’m not often blown away like this.”

“By Rhys?” He shoots a skeptical look in the direction of the dining room. “Should I be offended?”

“I would say you blow me away in other ways”—I wink—“but this is professional me speaking. And look, it’s totally up to you, and him, but can you think about it?”

“Yeah, I’ll talk to him.”

“And once we’ve spent some time going over things, I want you to get him tested.”

“Tested?”

“There are national tests for gifted students. I can get it all organized.”

West blinks at me like I’ve hit him in the face. “Wow. My own kid genius.”

“Well, we’ll see. It’s only a hunch at this point, but he definitely has a mind for it. Give me a few months and—” Something lights up in West’s expression. “What?”

“Months.”

“Well, yeah, it’ll take some time, but—”

“You see yourself sticking around for months?”

I finally get what he’s saying. It was always assumed on my end, and I thought he felt the same, but I guess we haven’t said anything out loud. “If you can put up with me for that long.”

West steps in close, mouth dropping to my ear. “Damn I want you inside me.”

It sends a shiver down my spine. I’m about to reply when West sucks in a breath and springs away from me. I turn to find Hazel standing in the doorway, watching us. She doesn’t say anything as she goes to the fridge and takes out a drink, then leaves.

Shit. I turn to apologize, but before I can get the words out, West laughs. He hooks a finger in my belt loop and tugs me forward into a kiss. “Hazel won’t say anything.”

“Are you sure?”

“Well, no, but I think I want them to know.”

“You don’t need to rush this for me. I’m happy to wait.”

He shakes his head. “I know, but this whole sneaking around thing sucks. I want to spend time with you properly, and since we’re both on the same page about this being more than a fling, I want to give us that chance.”

My heart is dancing with his words. “Whenever you’re ready.”

He kisses me again. “I’ll need to talk to Asher first though, and damn if that isn’t a conversation I’m dreading.”

“Would it be better to wait until he’s done with hockey for the year? It’s only a few months, and then if you guys lose, I can’t be blamed.”

“After hockey is done would be ideal, but … that’s so far away. “

I pinch West’s chin and make him look up at me. “There’s no hurry. I’m not going anywhere.”

“Fine. The end of the semester, then.”

“You want to do this right, and I want to respect that. Stop thinking with your dick—as much as your dick and I are on the same page. We keep going the way we have been, then it’ll be summer and we can be together as much as we want.”

“I like the sound of that.”

“Me too.”

I might have underestimated how little time I’d get with Jasper when I thought it would be easy to keep us from Asher until the end of the semester. The quick kisses and occasional tryst in his office isn’t enough for me. A couple of times, Asher’s told me to go out and get a break from the kids, and unlike a few months ago where I would’ve hesitated, I’m half out the door before he finishes his sentence. And while I love going to dinner with Jasper or chilling at his place watching TV and then being wrung out by his cock, I want to spend an actual night with him. From beginning to end. I want to fall asleep in his arms and wake up to him.

I want to make the man breakfast … and probably burn it.

I’m so gone for Jasper it should scare me, but it doesn’t.

Jasper has started tutoring Rhys when Asher’s at away games until we can set up something more permanent at CU after school, but I like it because it means we actually get to see each other. Even though I’m dying to touch him.

I don’t know if I can make it until hockey is over to tell Asher. So many times I’ve opened my mouth to put it out there, but I’ve chickened out.

Because we totally bombed at last year’s regional playoffs, Coach Hogan is keeping the team back over spring break for intensive training. They have a couple of days off toward the end, and I’ve already told Asher he can go away.
