You Break Me (The Prospect 2)
Chapter 36
Nikki
“I thought you were seeing Mateo?” Sophia questions as she comes into the kitchen. I guess she picks up on more than I thought, and I am glad the guys are wanting to look for a bigger place. The walls here are paper thin.
“It’s complicated, sweetie. We’ll talk more about it later. Okay?”
“So, what? I’m going to like have two dads or something?”
“We’re not talking about this right now. You need to get ready for school and I have a doctor’s appointment.”
“Fine.” She rolls her eyes. Stopping short at the hallway she looks back at me and says, “But just so we’re clear either one of them is better than my Dad.”
Grady smiles at that like the conceited bastard that he is. I leave him and Mateo on their own to sort out who is going to my appointment with me this morning. I’m excited to hear the baby’s heartbeat.
I get into the shower and let out a sigh as the hot water sprays over my body. The bathroom steams up and I feel utterly content other than the fact that I don’t know how to approach this new situation with Sophia. Hell, it’s new to me too, but I won’t lie to my daughter. I grew up not knowing shit about the truth. I won’t do that to Sophia. As I am lathering up my loofah the bathroom door opens and Grady appears, watching me through the glass.
“What are you doing?”
“Finishing what we started in the kitchen. Cruiz is dropping Sophia at the school then he is meeting with some realtor who called him on his way out. So, it’s just you and me and I plan on taking full advantage.” He smirks at me and drops his jeans to the floor.
“We don’t have time for this. I don’t want to be late for the appointment.”
“I’ll be fast.”
“What if you slip or you make me slip. Shower sex is bad for your health.”
“Then hurry the fuck up so I can take you to bed. Need to be buried inside you. Right now.” He holds his hardening cock up, stroking it. I lick my lips and hurry through the motions. This pregnancy is making me so damn horny all the damn time. Grady doesn’t even let me finish rinsing off or get a damn towel. He opens the shower door once he’s decided that he has had enough waiting for me to be done. I don’t exactly think I should go to the doctor with a freshly banged pussy, so I drop down on my knees and blow him instead. Grady doesn’t complain but I am left wanting more.
We get to my appointment and since it is my first one, I spend the first few minutes filling out paperwork. I don’t have to worry about medical expenses because we live in Canada. I return the new patient forms to the receptionist and then I am called back to get my weight and to give a urine sample.
Grady stays in the waiting room because it will be a few minutes before I am taken back for an ultrasound. When I come back out to wait with him, I can’t help but smile. He’s reading one of the parenting magazines off the rack. He’s taking this more seriously than I thought he would. Honestly, I was expecting him to blow this off and send Mateo in his place instead. For once it is good to be wrong about someone.
Grady looks up at me. “Everything okay?”
“It’s fine. Just waiting to be called back to the exam room. Whatcha reading?” I take up the chair next to him again.
“Whether breast fed is best or not.”
“Oh.” I blink. The surprises just keep on coming. “I haven’t decided.”
“What’d you do with Sophia?”
“Well…” I lower my voic
e feeling ashamed. “I bottle fed because Tricky didn’t want me unavailable to him. He um had this weird fetish…you remember the room at the strip club…it was his.”
“Freaky bastard,” he mutters under his breath. “My baby will have the best so if he wants titty milk that’s what he’ll have.”
I laugh. There’s the Grady I know. “So, you think we’re gonna have a boy?”
“Yup. Every first born in my family was a boy. Won’t be any different now.” It hits me that I don’t know anything about his family or how he came to prospect for the Jacks Devils. We have so much to talk about. I know just about everything there is to know about Mateo and his folks.
“Do your parents live nearby?”
“Not anymore. Pops moved to California about four years ago after my Mom died in a car crash. She fell asleep at the wheel.”
“I’m so sorry.”
