Taking the Thief

“What the fuck? I didn’t send you any message like that. Someone else set that up. It was probably Navarro,” he accuses. I don’t see him doing that. His genuine concern for this sister, tells me that he had no idea she was missing.

“He thinks you’re a criminal. I told him you weren’t, but he said you kidnapped his sister.” I’m sure there’s some misunderstanding because Mikhail wouldn’t be that insane to do that.

“I didn’t kidnap her. Fuck, I just didn’t stop her from getting on the wrong plane.” I close my eyes and sit on the bed. So he’s arguing it on a technicality.

Julian mentioned that Mikhail was claiming Marisol for himself, then maybe they had a previous relationship or why he’s been out of sorts lately. “I can’t believe you. Is this what’s been wrong with you lately.”

“There’s nothing wrong with me lately.”

“Bull crap, brat. Ivan and I know you’ve been zoning out on us when we get together. You can barely keep up with the conversations.” A rush of joy comes into my head, thinking about the guy in the other room. Maybe it’s genetics or something because I’m completely attracted to Julian. “I love you, so if she makes you happy, I’ll do all I can to help.”

“I’m sorry, Tasha, but yes, Marisol is all I think about. I’m going to marry her soon whether Navarro likes it or not.”

“Not cool, brat. I’m staying here as a guest of Mr. Navarro’s, and he’s being nice about everything. Don’t do anything too crazy. I just wanted you to know I was okay before you sent an army for me.” I get a little ticked that he wants to upset Julian.

“Are you really okay?” he questions.

“Yes, I promise.”

“I’m going to find out who sent you there,” he promises.

“Good. I want to know that, too. Julian will want to look into it, too. Have a good night,” I say, ending the call. Heavens, I’m starting to become obsessed with Julian and his well-being. I hope Mikhail didn’t pick up on it. He might have his guys try to take me back home. In less than a few hours, I went from an angry captive to wanting to stay. I’m most definitely losing it. I sit on the plush bed thinking about my feelings for Julian. I don’t know if it’s just he’s hotter than hell, or if it’s more than lust. Even if it’s nothing more than a pure desire to make love, maybe it’s time that I give up my v-card. I wasn’t saving it for anyone special; I just haven’t gotten any tingling feelings until I lifted my eyes and gazed upon Julian Navarro.

“Everything okay,” he asks through the door.

“Yes, sorry. I’m coming.” I get up and walk to the door. Opening it, I say, “I should shower then go to bed.” Damn, that came off as practically an invitation to join me. The fierce look in his eyes moves up and down my body, lingering in all the right places.

“I guess it’s time to call it a night.” He steps into the room, invading my space. “You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. And I’m going to do my best to not envision the water running over your bare flesh, cascading down your large breasts, and washing over your little pussy.” He growls and then turns on his heels. “Close the door, mi amor. Goodnight.”

Wow, maybe I read him wrong. I close the door and walk into the bathroom. I take a look at my appearance. I’m still wearing the shorts and tank top I came in with. My hair’s a mess, but he just told me I was beautiful. He must not want me because he can’t get passed the whole thing with me being here and his sister with my brother. I undress and shower all the while thinking of his words. He definitely wants me, but he’s holding back. I suppose it’s for the best. I finish up and wrap myself in a thick, cozy towel.

It’s then that I see a shaving kit on the vanity. My nosy self looks in the drawers. Nothing special inside. I exit the bathroom and look around. I walk to the dresser and see a family photo. I open the closet door and hanging are at least two dozen suits. I back out and realize that I’m in his personal suite. Oh heavens, that means that’s his bed. I lift the pillow and bring it to my nose. A moan escapes my mouth as I breathe him in. With my headache, I guess I didn’t notice it before, but now I’m very alert to all things Julian. I drop the pillow on the bed and towel of my skin.

“Where is my suitcase?” I complain while scanning the room. It’s in the corner by the door. I bring it to the large bench at the end of the bed, then I dig through my suitcase to find my slip nightgown. With the heat, these are great to sleep in. After brushing my hair and putting in a braid, I lay down, hoping he’ll want to sleep in his bed, too. As I wait, my eyelids get heavy. I wonder if I’ll wake up with sexy kisses.
