Nailing My Wife

« Prev  Chapter  Next »

“I’m glad we’re done. Let’s go and wash up.” We wash our hands when the bell for the office rings. Who the hell would be here this early? Benedict is off with his wife, Mira on a mini-vacation. Their son Benjamin is with Ben’s parents.

I go out to see, and it’s a guy I’ve never seen. It’s probably the client I’m supposed to meet in half an hour. He looks about forty years old or maybe a little older which would fit the information that Ben gave me on the client. I look at my watch. Fuck, it’s only five minutes. Wow, we were going at it longer than I thought. Time flies when you’re having fun, I guess. I laugh to myself. I jog down the few steps out of the office to meet him. He smiles and sticks out his hand. “Hello, I’m Jones.”

“Hello, I’m Dane Harris. Please come inside, and we can get to business.” I lead him inside and into my office. “Would you like some coffee?”

“Sure.” I walk to the door and call for Brenda. She came right away. “My client is here. Can you start a pot of coffee?”

“Already on it. It should be done in five minutes.” I give her a wink, and she turns around to get things together. She usually gets the coffee started, and we grab our own, but when we have clients, she makes it and helps serve.

“You have a secretary?”

“Actually, she’s the boss’s assistant and my wife.”

“Must be hard working with a spouse all day.”

“Not at all. I love working with her. Besides we don’t see that much of each other once the day kicks off. Now let’s discuss this project you’re looking for.”

He leans forward with an enthusiastic smile on his face. I’m guessing he’s very excited for whatever he wants to be done. Hopefully, it isn’t some crazy shit that’s nearly impossible to complete. “Okay, I want a personal bar in my basement,” he says with an animated expression.

I nod and return the smile because clients need to feel like you share some of their enthusiasm. “Sweet. What are you looking for in the layout?”

He rubs his chin, gathering his thoughts. He takes a long pause before saying, “I’m thinking Prohibition era type of style.”

“Like a speakeasy?” I ask, trying to confirm the concept. There are plenty of ways to build one, but they can be time-consuming if he wants a lot of authentic pieces or designs from the era. I have a few samples that we have for the concept. One of which, we built last year.

“Yeah, that’s what I’m looking for.” He claps his hands together.

“Sounds cool. Is your basement unfinished or finished?”

“I just bought the house. The basement is unfinished. The foundation is all that is there.” He leans back, and that’s when Brenda walks in with a tray of coffee cups, cream, and sugar.

“Thanks, Brenda. Let me introduce you to Noah Jones.” I turn my gaze to Jones whose eyes are on my wife. I let out a low rumble from my chest. “Mr. Jones, this is my wife, Brenda Harris.” Brenda sticks out her hand, and he shakes it a little too long for my own tastes.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you. I can see why he doesn’t find it hard to work alongside you.”

“Thank you, Mr. Jones.” Brenda presses her hand to the desk and looks down at me. “Thank you too, Mr. Harris.”

“You’re welcome,” I growl out, nearly kissing her pouty red lips. Fuck, I can’t believe she put on more makeup. I purposely kissed that shit away this morning. Not that I mind her wearing makeup, but I mind it around other men. I know where my mind goes with those stunning red lips. I’d have to kill a fuck for looking at her like that. “Can you get your tablet and join us? We’re about to head out to his property.”

“Sure thing. I’ll be back in twenty seconds.” She scurries out of the room, and instead of watching her sexy ass, I’m staring at Jones who watched her walk away for a second before he realized where he was.

“My wife is special. And only mine.” That was the only warning I was going to give the fuck.

She comes back in and takes a seat next to Jones in front of my desk. Needing to get this over with so I don’t go crazy, I continue where we left off. “Okay. So we’ll need to do the framing and then the insulation. Are you looking for any kind of hidden doors for your booze? You know like they would have had? Walls that flip into something else to hide the bar and stuff.”

“Yes, that’s exactly what I want to have. Space enough for some kegs of beer maybe.”

“Are you going to want a whole cooling and refrigeration system like a standard bar or are you looking for regular coolers?
