Built Strong (Middleton Hotels 3)
Eight months later…
Morgan
I sat in my large office, looking out at the Dallas skyline. My belly was growing really fast and this was going to be my last project for a while. I had to meet with my boss to discuss the plans for the remodel in Norfolk, VA. He was waiting for me in his office. I maneuvered my large body out of the chair and headed for the door when it opened. In came Harley, hopping and jumping. She squealed, “Thank you! I love it! Like, really love it! I can’t believe you all kept this from me.”
“Well, it was a part of the contract,” I told her. She smirked, knowing Julian’s and my story.
“It was perfect. Part of me actually regrets that I don’t work there, but Jacob promised the next time we go, I can run it for a day.” Her smile was contagious and I couldn’t stop returning one, even though my cramps were back again.
“I’m so thrilled that you love it.”
“He said the design was all yours. I had no idea. I thought you worked on the other two hotels in that area.”
“I did those two, as well, but the Harley Inn was a secret.”
“We had the most amazing time there. I’m so happy that you and I are sisters now.”
“Me, too.” She hugged me again.
“Mrs. Middleton?” My growling husband was standing there. “You’re late for our meeting.”
Harley pulled away and looked at Julian with the giddy smile she gave me. “Sorry, Julian. I just had to tell her how much I loved the hotel. Thank you for snagging her.”
“It’s my pleasure to shag her,” he teased. Harley shook her head before walking out the door and closing it behind her.
I looked at my watch, then up at my husband. “I’m like thirty seconds late, Mr. Middleton. What gives?”
“I was worried. You’re usually early to our meetings. I thought maybe one of the fabric guys was keeping you occupied.” He had been jealous of every man that showed me any type of attention. Even at our wedding, he eyed the officiant who smiled at me during the joyous occasion. Thankfully, he didn’t actually get violent with anyone, but he did love to remind me who I belonged to. His caveman tendencies led to amazing and dominating sex.
“The meeting with them lasted an hour this morning. You’re being goofy.”
“Okay, I was worried that you were having a difficult time.”
“It’s getting harder to get up, but I’m fine, Julian,” I replied, rubbing my huge belly. It was so big we thought I was having twins or even triplets, but the doctor assured us it was only one. From behind you couldn’t tell I was pregnant. Well, unless you noticed the growing waddle in my gait.
“We can talk about the project in here if you want.”
“No, let’s discuss it in your office while you rub my feet on your large sofa.”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea. The last time we discussed anything on that sofa, I had you riding me. Hell, every time we’re on it.”
“You don’t want me? Am I getting too big for you?” He never turned me down before.
“I want to fuck you every second.” He grabbed my hand and placed it along the edge of his belt. His cock was hard and pulsing when I touched it. “I don’t want to send you into labor in the office. Maybe when we get home.”
“Okay, I’ll behave,” I replied, of course my fingers were crossed behind my back.
Two hours later. “Breathe, Morgan,” he said, as they wheeled me into the Labor and Delivery area.
“It’s all your fault,” I screeched. The labor pains were quicker than anyone expected.
“You wanted to rest on the sofa while I sang to you.” I winced in pain and squeezed his hand. “So, breathe, sweetheart.”
“You’re lucky I love you, Julian,” I bit out as another pain hit.
“Yes, I am. I really am.”
