Happy endings - the hype is real.

Another Note From The Author

And now…

An added treat. After leaving Magnus and Penny, I attached a short story of Penny and Magnus set past the epilogue. With their baby born, do they keep the spark in their marriage? Almost extended epilogue, but can be read as short story too!

And finally a preview of a Mona Cox, Becca Vs. Biker.

Our goal in this is simple.

To entertain you as long as we can to give you the best experience with the words that we hold so dear. Because while we may be in various corners of the world, the fact that we are sharing these brings us closer together we feel.

Thank you so much for reading!

Magnificent Mess: Penny and Magnus

“Magnificent, isn’t it?”

“Well, it’s a magnificent mess, I can give you that much,” I tell Magnus with a smile, looking around the construction site. Dozens of workers rush from one side to the other, their bright yellow vests making them look like angry wasps looking for someone to sting. The roar of the heavy machinery adds to the confusion, and I have to focus so that I can Magnus’ reply.

“Give it time, Penny. Soon enough the tallest tower you can imagine will be right here, in the place where we are standing right now,” he says wistfully, looking up as if he could already see the Equinox Tower rising up into the skies. I look at him, smiling - I love the way his eyes seem to flicker whenever he starts talking about this tower. Swear to God, if I didn’t know him as well as I do, I’d think he loves that damn tower more than he loves me.

Even though there’s dust all around, and the endless chatter of the construction workers blends with the loud noise of the machinery, there’s a certain quietness to this place. Oh, you don’t agree with me? Well, try sleeping two and a half hours every night for God knows how long and then you’ll start agreeing with me.

You see, Luke (Magnus was right, it was a boy I was carrying in my belly) still hasn’t learned that he should sleep during the night, not cry every half an hour demanding milk. Ah, boys, they’re always so demanding, aren’t they? So, yeah, if you were wondering about the bags under my eyes, I hope that explains it.

Determined to give me a break, Magnus decided to ‘kidnap’ me and bring me on a date. Well, if you can call a visit to the Equinox Tower construction site a date, that is. We left Luke with a babysitter (a very expensive one), and made our way here in the stretch limo.

Yeah, this isn’t exactly an expensive dinner or a cliché stroll through Central Park, but this is a date alright. Nothing beats seeing the man you love making his dreams come true.

And nothing beats having some time for ourselves.

“Do you have an office in here?” I suddenly ask him, turning to him with a sly grin on my lips.

“An office?” He shouts over the sound of a jackhammer. “Yeah, there’s an office just around the corner,” he points at what looks like a ship container with a door and two windows, and I just grab his hand and start pulling him toward the improvised office.

“Where are we going?” He asks me, and I stop dead on my tracks and turn to him.

“Have you noticed,” I tell him, “that no one can hear shit around here?” He blinks once, twice, and then he finally understands what I’m telling him. There’s so much noise in this place that nobody can hear a thing. Imagine, for instance, if someone suddenly started to moan and scream at the top of her lungs… Nobody would hear it.

Hint, hint.

Already figured out where I’m going with this? Good, because I can’t wait to get inside that office and lock the door behind me. Magnus and I have kept our demanding sex schedule (three fucks a day, and you can tell the gym to go away - that’s my new motto), but it hasn’t been easy now that little Luke is part of our family. I’ve learned how to master the art of silence but, hell, I miss going all-out. And this is a date, right? Everyone knows what happens during a date.

“Finally,” I whisper, pulling him inside the office and closing the door behind me, the loud noises from outside now coming at us muffled and weakened. There’s a tiny couch pushed against one of the corners, and a desk littered with stacks of documents pushed against a wall. The sunlight streams through the windows, but I solve that by pulling on the curtains and concealing us from prying eyes.

I turn on my heels to face Magnus and place both my hands on his chest, biti

ng down on my lower lip as I look at him seductively.

“We’re alone.”
