36 Inches (Size Matters 3)

It's now our entire world.

I can feel tears welling behind my eyes. I know it's not the manliest thing in the world to do … to start crying like an unhinged child, but you know what? This is the sin

gle happiest moment of my life. I can't believe it. I'm going to be a father.

We are all going to be fathers.

All three of us lean into Cara and embrace her in a giant hug.

"You know … I don't want to know who the father is," Cara says, looking up at us and wiping the tears of joy from her eyes, and then there's a small pause. We are all wondering what she's going to say next. "Because all three of you are the father, and I couldn't ask for a better group of men to raise a child with. I mean that."

We all smile.

She's right.

"So, about that room," Mason says, breaking the silence, and we all laugh. "I don't think you're going to be sleeping there, Parker … not anytime soon."

"And why is that?" Parker smiles.

Then Cara gives us a grin. "Given the size of that room … I think it's going to make a great baby nursery."

Chapter 33

Mason

So in the end, everything turned out okay, didn’t it?

I mean it was a hell of a journey. And I think with the sex that the four of just had, I’ve cum my brains out all over Cara. Like she was bathing in cum.

I’m exhausted. But I can’t sleep. So when Derek and Parker are asleep with Cara cradled between them, I find myself walking over to the bar at the corner of our street from the condo.

It’s not really that crowded. Just the way I like it.

I sit down at the bar and order myself a scotch. I take a sip and wonder about the fucking insane journey that brought me to this point. A woman I love. A group of friends who love her just as much as I do, who are sworn to always protect her and make sure she’s taken care of.

It feels good knowing that Cara’s going to be bringing life into this world and that we’re going to be there to take care of her child.

No, not her child. Our child. We’re going to be fathers.

“Getting away from the crowd for a bit?” a voice says behind me and I turn as soon as I realize who it is.

Standing there in a tight black dress and stylish black heels is Abby Angel. She gives me a crooked smile and walks over to the bar. She points at my scotch and signifies to the bartender that she’ll have one too.

“What brings you to the neighborhood?” I ask, mildly surprised. Abby’s got an elegant life nowadays—a far cry from when she had first met Aidan and was struggling to hack it as an indie writer. “Why aren’t you on a yacht on the East River sipping champagne?”

She rolls her eyes and I smirk at her, letting her know that I’m just teasing. Out of all the authors I’ve dealt with, she’s always been the most laid back and easy to work with.

“I came to visit the newest Angel,” she says to me. “And her three protectors.”

“Well, you found one,” I say as Abby gets her drink. We both raise our glasses and cheers. She takes a sip and then looks at me.

“Things are good at home, Mason?” she asks. “I never thought you were the settling down type.”

I nod. Neither did I for that matter. I never thought I’d settle down. But meeting Cara, realizing how much I loved her, really made me want to spend forever with her.

“Cara has changed our lives, Abby,” I tell her. “When you get to the condo, I’m sure she’ll have a very happy surprise for you.”

“Ooooh, is it what I think it is?” Abby asks, her eyes sparkling. “What happens when you have too much sex?”
