Protein Shake
Chapter 26
Eric
Silly little bitch could’ve leaned her seat back if she wanted to sleep for the whole flight to Tokyo…but dammit if Kara isn’t too fucking sweet, resting her pretty blonde head on Chase’s shoulder instead, with her slender little fingers wrapped around mine.
My only regret is that Kara is missing all the luxuries of the private first-class suite we booked for the three of us. Cost a small fortune, but that’s the perk of having more money than you know what to do with—and after Kara’s performance at Miss Sexy USA, Chase and I are richer than ever.
Protein Plus has been flying off the shelves since its launch a few weeks ago—and it would be wrong to think that Kara Gilmore didn’t have a hand in that.
Her sexy little strip-tease, her incredible speech—even that devastating fall during the parade portion of the pageant ensured that all eyes were on our girl for the entire fucking broadcast.
Every bastard watching wanted to fuck Kara when she was up there at the mic, her perfect, nude body sparkling in the spotlight and a profession of her love for Chase and me on her lips.
I’d kill every last one of them for even fucking thinking about it if it was at all feasible to do so. Hell, I’m a clever guy. I could find a way.
I still fucking might.
But more importantly, every woman who tuned into the pageant wanted to be Kara that day. It’s not just her social media pages blowing up anymore—no, now she’s a topic of conversation on the morning talk shows and the nightly news, too.
And the whole fucking time, every single one of those bitches saw that Protein Plus had a hand in making Kara shine so fucking bright. We’ve had to ramp up production to insane levels just to keep up with demand.
Unfortunately for our customers, they’ll never quite have what Kara has. It’s not just about appearances with this girl—even if I do want to rip her fucking clothes off and lift her up and down on my cock while we’re miles fucking high.
Kara’s fucking special. End of story. I’ve never met a woman as witty as her, as clever or as charming—and I know Chase feels exactly the same.
“I really do fucking love her, you know,” he says like he’s reading my fucking mind—but softly. Gently. So she doesn’t wake up.
“So do I,” I agree. “Which is why—I mean, we’re still good, right?”
Chase picks up what I’m putting down. Always fucking does.
“I’m not a fuckin’ idiot, man,” he says. “She loves us both. We both love her. If I’ve gotta share her with anyone, I’m glad that it’s you.”
“I feel the same way, bro,” I say, squeezing Kara’s little hand in mine. “I think…Fuck, it sounds idiotic coming out of my mouth—”
“Most things do.”
“I think she brings us together. Shit was good before, but…”
“It’s fuckin’ perfect now,” Chase agrees. “Why fuck with a good thing when we know how fuckin’ good we’ve got it?”
“Exactly. So we agree, then.”
“She’s ours,” Chase affirms. “But if any other bastard so much as fuckin’ looks at her wrong…”
“We snap his fucking neck and see how your mafia connections feel about getting rid of the body.”
“They would,” Chase muses. “Fuckers owe me one.”
We don’t often talk about Chase’s dark past, even though he’s obviously made peace with that shit. After we came back from the Middle East, we all went our separate ways.
But when I decided I was launching a fitness empire…well, I would have been an idiot not to reconnect with him. What makes a gym look tougher than being partially owned by a former mafia hit-man and ex-con?
P
ower Plus got Chase back on his feet after prison, and now it’s made us billionaires. The Protein Plus line is just going to propel us even higher—and with Kara at our side, who knows what else we can do?
Sky’s the fucking limit—which is saying something, since we’re already miles over the Pacific as we speak.
