The Hitman's Christmas Wish: Holiday Belles

“I am pushing, you asshole,” she screams, but I know her anger won’t last long. As soon as Bryana is in her arms, she’ll forget all about the pain of bringing our bundle of joy into the world. I am sure God does it this way, or no one would have babies.

“Alright, Mrs. Fratelli, one more big push, and she’ll be here,” Doctor Iris says. She’s kind of a hippie but so good with Bella. She’s been here for all eight births, and I’m sure she’ll be here for the next one.

“I’m never doing this again,” Bella cries, and she pushes down. She always says that and always changes her mind.

“Of course, baby,” I agree.

“I mean it this time. I’m too fat now. No more babies, and you’re gonna have to lock it up,” she growls.

“You’re not fat, baby. You’re fucking gorgeous.”

“I weigh damn near a hundred pounds more than when we met.”

“What the fuck is your point? You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen or will ever see. You could weigh a thousand pounds, and I’ll love you and your body forever.”

“Owwww, we could get a reality show,” she says, laughing.

“We can do whatever you want to, baby.”

“That’s it, Bella. Do that. Give me some little pushes. I see her head, and it’s full of hair.”

“Thank God,” she says before bearing down.

A few minutes later, another miracle is born. I kiss her while the nurses clean the baby up. When they hand her to Bella, the smile that crosses her face is enough to light up the world.

“You did so good, baby,” I murmur, kissing Bryana’s head.

“Thank you,” she whispers, tears in her eyes.

“I love you, wife.”

“I love you, husband.”

It’s hard to believe that we started out as a Christmas wish. I wish I never thought it would come true for many reasons, but when it did, I knew I’d never let her go.
