himself, but a moment later, their faces were gone. "Who the hell was that? Was that Rhona and
her boyfriend?"
"Yes," I said, and quickly began to dress
myself. "They must have seen the candlelight
flickering in the window."
"Damn," he muttered, hurrying to get his
clothes on. too. "Who knows how much they saw?
Who knows how long they were standing there?" "What's the difference what they saw and
didn't? I don't care about them," I told him.
"Yes, but they could talk, gossip about us," he

Was he worried about me, us, or that his mother
