He leads me to the couch and pushes me down on it. Then he climbs on top of me and kisses my lips and my breasts fiercely before settling between my legs.

He grips my thighs. “I have to warn you. I might not be able to hold back.”

“Don’t,” I tell him.

Then I grab the arm of the couch above my head as I brace myself.

Nothing, though, can prepare me for the force of Mason’s thrust. He fills me with one go, and the pleasure that travels to every inch of my body nearly shatters me then and there. Before I can catch my breath, he starts to jerk his hips. He hoists one of my legs above his shoulder and pounds into me. The couch quakes. I sink my nails into leather and throw my head back as I set my cries free.

With his massive cock, he rubs against spots inside me I never knew existed, each one making my body sing. He moves even faster and the friction sends me into a dizzying fever. I squeeze my eyes shut and let out a sharp cry as I surrender to the heat and the pleasure. Every fiber of my body feels on fire.

Vaguely, I feel Mason continue to move. Then he gives another hard thrust that sheaths his cock inside me. He grunts as his hips jerk. His fingers dig into my thighs. Then he grows still.

I open my eyes and stare at the ceiling as I catch my breath. I can hear Mason gasping as well. He remains still for just a few more seconds before breaking the connection between our bodies. I nearly whimper at the loss of warmth.

But then Mason grabs my arm and pulls me towards him so that I’m sitting beside him. He puts his arm around me and I lean into his warmth. I rest my head on his shoulder.

“Are you alright?” Mason asks me.

“Yes,” I answer as I place my hand over his.

Our fingers entwine and the matching gold bands gleam.

I look at mine. “Do you think we should change our rings? After all, these aren’t really ours.”

They’re Giselle’s and Bill’s, but instead of their names, they have Always and Forever engraved inside.

“I think it’s fine,” Mason says. “After all, I feel like I’ve always loved you.”

The words make my heart skip a beat. I look up into his eyes.

“And I will love you forever,” I promise him.

He smiles and gives me a tender kiss.

“So, no divorce, then?” he asks. “This is real now?”

“Yes.”

“You’re not going to push me away?”

I place my hand on his cheek. “No.”

It hurts me that he even thinks of that, but I guess I can’t blame him since I’ve pushed him away so many times before.

“I’m sorry,” I tell him. “I’m sorry I didn’t notice your feelings.”

He shakes his head. “I’m good at hiding stuff.”

“So you are. What else are you hiding? I wonder.”

He shrugs. “You’ll have to find out.”

I frown.

“Anyway, I’ll make it up to you,” I tell him. “I promise.”

“Good.” Mason grins. “You can start right now.”

He grasps my chin and presses another firm kiss to my mouth.

“You’re not saying we’re going at it again, are you?” I ask him.

Mason chuckles. “I thought you believed in second chances.”

“Yes, but…”

He silences me with another kiss. “Less talk. More sex.”

Chapter Twenty-Two ~ Couple Decisions

Mason

“Don’t you think we’ve been having too much sex lately?” Aster asks me as she rests her head on the pillow and pulls the covers up to her armpits.

I don’t answer as I search for my boxers amid the pile of clothes on the carpet – Aster’s purple panties, her shorts, her bra, my shirt…

Finally, I find what I’m looking for. As I put them back on, I remember Aster’s question. I know why she’s asking. For the past three days, we’ve been stuck here in the apartment. We’ve had sex in the living room, in the dining room, in the pool and the movie theater downstairs. And here in the bedroom, of course.

We were only apart a few days, but the way we’ve been kissing and touching each other’s bodies, it seems like we haven’t seen each other in years. It’s like we’re making up for all those years we wasted living next door to each other but not really being able to connect. I know I am.

“There’s no such thing as too much sex,” I tell her before crawling under the sheets.

I pull Aster into my arms and brush my nose against her cheek. She pulls away.

“I’m tired, Mason,” she tells me.

“I’m just snuggling,” I say defensively.

Aster frowns. “That’s what you said last time.”

“Well, I mean it this time.”

“You better, because I’m sore,” she complains. “You do realize you’re huge, don’t you?”

I grin. “I did recommend lube.”

Aster snorts. “Like that will help.”

“You never know.”
