Sinful Hands (Chained Hearts Duet 3)
“No, it wasn’t,” I assure her.
I’m addicted.
And addicted is not something you want me to be.
“Coast is clear,” Sailor yells.
Chanel holds the door open and points to the hall. “Out! Please. I need to sleep. Alone.” She emphasizes the last word.
“I’ll let you sleep tonight, but only so you’re ready for my cock tomorrow.” I saunter past her and out of the room, and she shuts the door as soon as I’m out. As I get to my door, my head is whipped to one side. When I straighten up to punch whoever that was, I see Keir standing there.
“Walk around naked in my house again with my wife and kid here, I’ll fucking kill you.”
“Fuck you.” I turn to him fully, and he looks down at my naked body, then to where I just came from.
“I put you in charge over there for a reason, Lucas. You’re usually business-minded, a little…” He pauses. “Okay, a lot fucked-up, but you do the job without questions.” I don’t back down as he speaks. “I’ve killed for less.”
“I’d be hard to kill,” I argue back.
“Of that I have no doubt. You may be faster than me, maybe even stronger. But when it comes to a gun, I will place the first bullet, have no doubt.”
I don’t, I have no doubt about it. I could probably take him in everything else, but not his shot. Keir is superb with guns, quite possibly the best shot I have ever seen.
“Now, walk around naked again where my wife can see you, I’ll chop it off before I kill you.” He turns to leave but pauses and takes a deep breath. “I like her. Don’t fuck that up either. Keep this one alive. We need her!”
I laugh as I step into my room and shut the door behind me.
I don’t kill everyone.
Only some of them.
Maybe.
Oh goddammit! I know I kill most of them.
Fuck.

Even though I locked the door, I felt if he wanted to come in, he would have.
The next morning I get up early and go to prepare some breakfast—Sailor loves her fruits and so does Wren—but as soon as I open my door, so does he. Like he just knows.
“I’m awake. No need to come get me if you want to fuck.”
Gosh, what was I thinking last night? I was so stupid.
But, before that, he defended me, and for some reason my insecurities made me act. I don’t fully regret it. Despite Lucas being a sociopath, he is amazing in the bedroom. And what’s more he gave me my first orgasm, well, actually a couple of firsts. If I had clients like him, I’m not sure I would have quit.
“Chanel, can we chat?” Joey asks as he comes out of his room, his face a little red from where Lucas clocked him.
“She’s busy,” Lucas replies, stepping closer to me as my gaze bounces between them.
“I’m about to prepare breakfast. Can you talk while I prepare?” I ask.
“Keir has people for that,” Joey says, and I wave him off.
“I like to do it. Keeps me busy.”
“I can keep you busy,” Lucas declares as his hand slides to my lower back. He lingers for a moment before I remember to brush him off. Contact with him is not good.
It should not happen.
At all.
“You better watch your words,” Lucas warns Joey, and I scrunch my nose up as I turn to him.
“I can look after myself,” I tell him.
Joey is silent as he studies us.
Lucas looks down at me, a flash of his tattoo peeking out from under his shirt. When you see him dressed in a suit, you would never think his chest is fully covered in ink. He even has some on his ass. Though I didn’t get to investigate the tattoos closely, I saw them.
“Eyes up here, sugar, unless you want me to make you call me Daddy again.” My cheeks brighten, and I hear Joey cough and mutter out, “Too much information,” as he walks off.
“I’ll meet you in the kitchen.” But neither of us pay him any attention.
“Do you have daddy issues?” I ask Lucas. He leans in close. I always feel like he wants to test my boundaries, see how close he can get to my lips. I hate that I like him close.
“I have Chanel issues.”
I scoff but a smile pulls at my lips at his words. “That seems like a serious problem to have.”
“If you say so. Though, I don’t seem to mind if I get to taste the sweet-ass juices once in a while. You see, I get addicted.” He bites off the last word and leans farther into me, his mouth near my ear, a shiver wracks my body. “And once a man like me becomes addicted, you have nowhere to hide, baby.”
“You and all your nicknames,” I bark at him.
