Afterward I lie panting and wet on the shelter floor. He has pulled from me and left me lying with his cum soaking out of my ass and my pussy lamentably empty. He has humbled me, and he has freed me.

Finally, he reaches down and pulls me up, holding me under one arm like a sack. He slaps my ass and tells me what my future is to hold.

“I am going to fuck-punish you every day until humanity has atoned for what they have done to the wild planet, do you understand?”

I do understand. I turn my head and let my hair fall over my face to hide the little smile that creeps across my face. I understand, and I cannot fucking wait.

CHAPTER 10

Present day

Penelope

And that is how I find myself fucked, spanked, mated, and otherwise exposed to all the Vulpari crew. Did I put myself here? Was it fate? Whatever forces are at play, they are as inescapable as Volt claimed them to be. He still enjoys accusing me of being responsible for Kurt and Steve’s actions from time to time, but frankly I think that is just to spice things up and give him a pretext for his punishments. Not that he needs one.

I have forgotten whether I still want to escape him, or if I am playing the role of would-be escaper. Pleasure does strange things to the mind. It makes the unbearable enjoyable and the wrong right. Captivity in Volt’s care is enough to destroy all notion of sensible desire. From the wild world to planet Earth, I immerse myself in him and hope that my sexual willingness and submission to his many punishments will garner enough favor for him to show mercy for what was done to his precious wild ones.

“Captain Volt! We are in hailing distance of Earth!”

Volt pauses, his cock inside me. He reaches down, grabs my hair, and pulls my head up.

“We are about to come into orbit around your world, Penelope. The cradle of human civilization lies beneath us. Shall I raze it to the ground and set in place constructions of Vulpari design?”

He pulls out of my pussy and slaps my ass. Hard. I yelp.

“I can’t stop you if that’s what you want to do,” I reply.

“We will see what your species has to say about it,” he says. “There will be much groveling and wailing and gnashing of teeth, of that I am certain. Come, fuck-pet. Let us see what punishment awaits your world.”

I give him the number for the planetary registration office. It’s the least I can do. I am hoping that if he talks to the people down on Earth he will be able to have the wild planet removed from the inhabitation list and this can all be dealt with, no bloodshed required.

The bridge holds its breath as the phone rings. Brrrrt Brrrt

Brrrt Brrrrt

“Welcome to the planetary registration office. Your call is important to us. Please hold while we transfer you to someone who can help.”

Brrrt Brrrrt

Brrrt…

The ringtone stops and is replaced by music without words and without emotion.

“What is this?”

“Hold music,” I explain. “It’s to keep you calm while you wait.”

“I find it intensely enraging,” he notes.

“Many do.”

He gives me a harsh look. “If this is some kind of trick or betrayal, you will pay dearly.”

“This is the office responsible for issuing permits for planetary development. They are the ones who can revoke the paperwork and ensure the wild planet is never touched again.”

Captain Volt is on hold for well over an hour. By the time anybody real answers, there is a trail on the bridge floor left by the increasingly worn soles of his boots.

“Hello?” A woman’s voice comes over the line. I instantly know this conversation is not going to go well. She sounds annoyed at having been forced to answer the call.

“This is Captain Volt of the vessel Destroyer.”

“I’m sorry, you’re breaking up. What do you want?”

I can hear the static on the line. It’s because down on Earth they are listening to this conversation via copper lines.

“I want you to leave the wild planet!”

There is an audible sigh. “Sir, do you have the planetary registration number for the planet you’re attempting to discuss?”

“I do not acknowledge your authority! Remove yourselves from our ancestral planet or face annihilation!”

Volt is making a key mistake. He is assuming that a paper-pushing flunky cares about annihilation.

There’s a pause, in which I can see Volt thinks he has made a suitable impression. He’s probably imagining terror unfolding down on the surface of the planet.

“Hold, please.”

The dial tone is back on the line. Volt turns and looks at me with more confusion than I have ever seen on his face.

“What are they doing?”

“Transferring your call.”

The line goes dead. They’ve hung up on him.

“What…”

“I think you’ve lost connection. It happens, the technology is not great,” I explain. “We don’t have Vulpari prowess in these matters.”
