Chapter Three

The following day, Max got a detailed rundown of everything that had happened in the office after he retired for the night.

Dylan had the meetings set for today as Max had done them all the previous time. While Raine was out, Max answered the emails, set his next meetings for the following day, and then waited in the kitchen.

He had the kettle on the stove, waiting for Raine to arrive so he could pour her a nice hot drink.

His friend had been very detailed in just how responsive Raine had been last night. How wet she’d been.

Max was gutted he’d missed such an event, but at the same time, he knew he would have his chance.

With their plan already set in motion, he had already called the parents of the child that would be having the pre-Halloween celebration sleepover. Just because their plan had sped up, it didn’t mean they couldn’t proceed with what they wanted to do come Halloween.

Providing there were no fuck-ups, he didn’t see why Halloween wouldn’t work in their favor. He’d also done a thorough background check on every single person involved in Lake’s life. Her safety and well-being were his top priority.

The door opened and closed, and he smiled.

Showtime.

“Hello,” Raine said. “Anyone here?”

“I’m home,” Max said. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you. I thought I had mentioned that I was going to be home today.” The lie slipped easily from his lips.

The truth was that this day at home was more improvised than planned. He and Dylan were taking Raine’s seduction very seriously.

He wasn’t jealous about Dylan getting to taste her pussy first, but he did wish he’d been there to witness it. To watch her completely come apart just by watching Dylan work his cock.

She had truly missed out because Dylan was an expert when it came to matters of the tongue. He knew just what to do to drive a woman wild.

Raine appeared in the doorway, looking a little flushed. “I had no idea you were home.”

“Coffee?” he asked.

“Yes, please. I can make it.”

“I don’t mind. You’ve just taken Lake to school. It’s the least I can do.”

“She is so very excited. She told me that you’ve said she can do the sleepover,” Raine said.

“I’ve made sure everything is above board and safe, and it is. I trust she will be well taken care of.” He poured two hot cups of coffee.

He placed one in front of Raine and sat down opposite her. Brushing his fingers across her leg, he smiled. “I hope you like it,” he said.

She licked her lips, looking at his touch on her thigh, then back up to his face.

“You know what happened last night?” she asked.

Max raised a brow. “What happened last night?”

“Do you want to fire me? It was so … inappropriate.”

He waved his hand in front of him. “No. No. Raine, this is … I want to be clear. Your job is not in jeopardy here. We are not giving you an ultimatum. We’re not like that.” He stopped to take a sip of his coffee. “I’m sure you’re aware that Dylan and I, we are both attracted to you. It has nothing to do with your job. We both want to fuck you, to claim you, to make you ours, and that doesn’t mean we’re going to force you. If you want us, if you think about us when you touch your pussy, or you have imagined what it would be like to have not one, but two men, taking you at the same time, or singularly, then come to my office. If you don’t appear, then there are no hard feelings. There can be attraction that is never acted upon.”

With that, he grabbed his coffee and stood.

This wasn’t exactly what he had planned.

He left the kitchen, pulling his cell phone from his pocket and making his way toward his office. He sent Dylan a text, warning him that he had to change up the plan a little. The last thing he wanted was for Raine to think this was blackmail or some way for him to take advantage.

It was just … inconvenient she was his nanny as well as being the woman he craved more than anything.

He put his coffee down on a coaster, one that Raine hadn’t made. This woman, he wanted her so fucking much.

Sitting back, he looked at the door as a text from Dylan came in to say that he was on his way home. He turned off his cell phone so he wouldn’t be interrupted by a potential business call.

Raine appeared less than ten minutes later in the doorway. Her cheeks were bright red as she looked at him.

“I’ve never … this has never happened before,” she said. “I take my job very seriously.”

“Nanny Raine is not in question here. I want to know the real Raine. The Raine that hasn’t been satisfied in a long time?”
