The anger filled Aspen’s belly and then the shock as she saw the two men appear behind Pamela. Aspen was enraged as she swung her fist into Pamela’s face, breaking her nose.

Pamela screamed out as the two men grabbed Aspen and yanked her down the stairs. She was losing her ability to stand and stay conscious. What had Pamela stuck her with?

She tried fighting off the men but couldn’t. She was getting so weak, her legs gave out and then the one guy lifted her up over his shoulder. They pushed open the back door and hurried down the metal stairs to an awaiting van. They tossed her inside, and then they jumped into the front and sped off. She banged on the door and tried to pull it open but it wouldn’t budge.

She was losing focus more and more, but fighting it and trying to think. She grabbed onto her purse that she had over her shoulder. Her cell phone.

The van sped ahead and the men only looked over their shoulder at her a few times through the divider window.

She opened the phone as she fell on her side, her eyes blurry, tears streaming down her cheeks. She could hardy press the buttons.

“Hello? Aspen?”

She heard Storm’s voice.

“Help me.” She said as the van swerved to the left causing her to slide to the right and release the phone before darkness overtook her.

“Aspen! Aspen!” Storm yelled out in the board room. They were all there, including the man who owned Sparks Industries now, on the speakerphone. The one remaining anonymous to everyone but Storm.

He looked at his team and the others.

He hit speaker so they could hear.

The sound of Russian voices filtered through the phone.

“Who the fuck is that? They have Aspen?” Winter asked.

Storm covered his mouth with his fingers indicating for Winter and the others to remain quiet.

“That’s Romanian and Russian mixed. That has to be Andrei’s guys,” Zin said.

He heard the man’s voice on the other end of the speaker ask what was going on.

“Someone took her. They have Aspen,” Storm stated.

The speakerphone clicked off and Storm started giving orders as he held the phone out so his team and the others in the room could still listen.

He handed the phone to Weston.

You listen carefully to this. See if they give any indication as to where they took Aspen.” Weston nodded as he took the phone and walked to the other room where it was quiet.

“What are we going to do?” York asked.

“That fucking bastard is not going to take our woman from us. He’ll die before he even gets the chance.”

Winter’s phone rang and he answered it.

He looked at Storm.

“It’s Andrei.” He placed it on speaker.

“Give up your territory, Sparks Industries, and Pro-Tech, or your sweet Aspen will succumb to her fate after all.”

“You let her go now, Andrei. You fucking let her go!” York yelled out.
