I watch her sister lower her gun slightly. “I am going to wipe your whole organization out,” she tells me, her pistol aimed at me once more, physically touching my chest. I know she is trying to get me to react, but I shock her and everyone in the room.

“Good. I will help you.” Chiara gasps and you can hear a pin drop.

“Why should I trust you?”

“Simple. I love her and I will do anything to keep her and our family.”

“Well shit,” The redhead says from the doorway.

“Including pledging your allegiance to HERmerta?”

“Yes.”

“Prove it,” she says her face conveying her doubt in my statement.

“How would my father’s heart gift wrapped to you in a box sound?”

“Well fuck,” the brunette says. I know they didn't expect me to be so brutal. So… final... but nothing means more to me than ridding this city... this country of the vermin that infected my blood. Her sister looks at Chiara.

“Chi, is this what you want? A life with him?” I don’t look at her. I want them to know she is under no spell from me. I want her to speak her truth, knowing she is protected and could walk away anytime. I mean shit, they have me at a disadvantage right now. She could rip my heart out and choose to walk away and there is nothing I could do at this moment. I hold my breath, that last little bit of doubt left and then she sets me free.

I feel hands on back, followed by her mouth before she whispers in my ear, “I love you.” She wraps her arms around my waist before looking at her sister. “Yes. I love him. I know it doesn’t make sense, but he has been nothing but good to me.” Giulia cocks her head, studying our body language. My hands are holding hers which are wrapped around me and as funny as it may sound, I have never felt safer.

“Very well. You have one week to do as you have said. One week to prove your love for her and your loyalty to me. Cross me and I kill you, baby or no baby.”

“I understand.”

“Good. Now, in the meantime, she comes home with me. Obviously, I can keep her safe.” I feel Chiara’s arms tighten around me and I know she thinks I am going to lose it and she is not wrong. But, when I think about what is going to go down over the next few days, I need her out of here and safe.

“Give me one hour and I will bring her to where you are.” If she says no, I don’t know what I am going to do.

“One hour. Not a minute later. Andiamo.” She says turning and walking from the room. The evidence of her power is how everyone waits for her to depart first and then file out behind her. It also shows her lack of fear at being the first one in and out of a room. My brother wasn't lying. She is going to take NY by storm.

We stand in that same position, neither of us moving for minutes as all the air leaves the room. My princess is kissing my back over and over and I let that feeling calm me, so I do what I have been dying to do since I got home. Turning I face her and cradle her face. “I don’t want to let you go, baby. Not for a second do I want you out of my sight.” She leans into my touch and kisses my hands.

“I know babe. But my sister is right, it is for the best.” She lifts my face which is now leaning against her chest. “You just come back to me.” I fucking love her. Laying her down on the bed, I kiss down her body and stop on her stomach. I send out a silent prayer that my son is inside of her right now, growing, waiting to grace the world. I continue to move down her body, eager to taste her honey before I fuck her so that she smells like me while she flies to NY. When my mouth is numb from working her pussy over and over bringing her to the peak and back, I drop my pants and slide home, praying that this is not the last time.

The drive to where her sister is staying is short. When we pull up, Giulia and the blonde come outside and stand there. I bring her mouth to mine, hoping she can feel what she means to me. “Promise me you will come back, Jakub,” she pleads with tears in her eyes.

“Count on it baby. You take care of you and our son, okay.” She nods while I wipe the tears from her eyes. “Alright. Time to go.” I walk her to the door and nod as they usher her inside.
