“Yeah, Sofia. Come for me, baby.”

He moved to the side, staying deep within her but exposing enough of her body so he could run his hand down between her thighs and stroke her clit.

“Fuck yourself with my cock, baby. Take it all. Take it deep.”

Caspian teased her clit, and Sofia didn’t think there was any way she could come again, but he taught her differently. She hadn’t even finished with her release before he was on her, spreading her open, fucking her harder, making love. When she felt the hard kick of his cock, it was like her entire world felt complete, and right at the center of who she was, that terrified her.

Sofia was avoiding him.

Caspian stared around the empty cabin and shook his head.

“You okay?” Sean asked, following in behind him.

“She’s gone.”

“She hasn’t gone far. I got a text from Melissa and Raine. Sofia is with them.”

Caspian spun around and headed back out of the house.

“Where are you going?” Sean asked.

“To go find her.”

“Whoa, man, I don’t think that is a good idea.” Sean moved quickly in front of him and placed a hand on his chest. “You might want to rethink this idea of going, and you know, helping out.”

“I need to go and see her.”

Sean still didn’t move, and Caspian wasn’t prone to violence against his own pack, so he growled instead as a warning.

“I know. I know. I’m pissing you off, and all of that, but come on, man. You know this kind of shit isn’t going to end well. At least not for you. You cannot force this, even if you want to,” Sean said.

“You know what happened last night?” Caspian asked.

“We’ve all got good hearing,” Sean said.

“That’s why I’ve got to go to her.”

“Melissa and Raine have nothing to say. It’s not like you’ve ever been with them.”

“I know that, but Sofia, she is … she’s…”

“Perhaps needing some girl time?” Sean asked.

Caspian paused. “Girl time?”

“Yeah. I know it’s a weird phenomenon and all that. But women still need to be around their own sex. It’s not sexist me saying that either. It’s just like guys needing to be around guys.”

“You’re making no sense to me.”

“I’m making perfect sense, the only problem you have is that you don’t like the kind of sense I’m making.”

He rolled his eyes, not interested in getting into this debate.

Glancing over Sean’s shoulder, he wanted to go and find Sofia. Her scent was everywhere, but so long as he focused, he’d be able to locate her. It would be so easy to do. She’d run out on him that morning, and he’d allowed her to go as Sean had sent him out another alert about that male.

He’d returned to Sofia’s apartment.

Something didn’t sit right with him about this. He didn’t want to alert Sofia to the current problem. All he wanted her to do was enjoy her time away from the city and her old pack, and also to accept the bond between them, but that seemed impossible.

“What do you suggest?” he asked.

“I suggest we head back into your cabin, start making some dinner, and you learn to calm down. To give Sofia some space.”

“It’s not space she needs, it’s reassurance.”

“Reassurance of what?” Sean asked.

“That she is safe and her pack won’t ever touch her again.” He stepped into the cabin.

He smelled her the moment he walked inside.

The sheet he’d pulled off the bedding was in the laundry basket. He’d taken her virginity last night, and he’d wanted to lick her pussy, to taste her sweetness, but he’d known she’d freak out, so he’d settled for cleaning her instead.

It was rare for wolves to find each other as virgins. So very rare. With the heat of the full moon, and a wolves’ emotions heightened, being close with other wolves, sex was a given.

He breathed in deep, wanting Sofia in his arms right that second, but he held himself back.

Sean, as much as Caspian hated to admit it, was completely right.

Sofia needed time to adjust. Spending time with the pack would help her to see that she was safe. They all would protect her.

Liam, Simon, and Books all entered the cabin, chatting away about some latest episode of their favorite television program. They were addicted to the dramas.

Caspian never got into sitting and watching television. His life didn’t allow it, or his thirst to find his mate. Now that he had her, there was this need to keep her close.

“How are you doing?” Liam asked, coming toward him.

“Fine.” He reached into the fridge to grab what he needed to make enough food to feed them.

“What’s the news on the pack?” Caspian asked, raising his voice to be heard.

“Not a lot,” Books said.

“Several of the pack can’t get the time off work, but are being more careful. A few more will be arriving in a few days’ time,” Simon said.
