The drive back to our home was a long and tense one. No one spoke, not even my brother and I via telepathy. Luca had called on ahead to let Diane know Angelina would be staying with us that night. She was thrilled, and then a little disappointed when I asked her to make up one of the guest rooms.

I reflected on the third storey of our country manor. Many years before, we’d turned it into a private wing for when we discovered our mate. I hoped it wouldn’t be too much longer before we were asking Diane to prepare it for the three of us. Because when we finally bonded for eternity, the three of us would be living there permanently.

“Goodness. Do you own all of this?”

“Yes, bella. It’s yours too,” Luca responded.

Angelina’s eyes had widened, and she gazed with almost childlike wonder out of the window as we went through the electronic gates, and up a long winding driveway. It opened up to show our beautiful home and gardens. Centuries old, three storeys tall, with an abundance of rooms containing everything from a cinema room, library, fitness suite, and a swimming pool built at the back. Diane stood at the top of the steps with Michael. As soon as Angelina cut the engine, our housekeeper ran down the steps.

“It’s so lovely to see you again, Angelina.” Diane hugged her as soon as she got out of the car.

“It’s great to see you too, Diane. Good to have some female company around all this testosterone.”

Angelina looked over her shoulder at us and winked. A teasing smile hovered over her lips. Hmm, if she continued along this route, she may need a light spanking on her pretty little ass.

“For fuck’s sake, Sal. Will you stop.”

“Sorry. Couldn’t help myself.”

“Yeah, well, stow your dirty ideas. I’m going to be fantasising all day about putting her across my lap and…”

“Hey, stop with all the mind talk.”

Angelina eyed us both with suspicion, arms folded over her chest. But the sexiest thing about her stance, that cheeky smile tugging at her lips, and a glint in her eyes.

“Let’s show you to your room.” Luca grabbed her belongings and raced up the steps.

Diane and Angelina walked ahead of us, linking arms with one another. It was heart-warming to see how friendly they were. And our overprotective housekeeper had been desperate for our mate to walk into our lives. I had a sneaking suspicion that the two of them would gang up on us. Neither of us would mind though, so long as Angelina was happy with her new life.

When I stepped inside their home, my jaw dropped as I gazed at the beauty of the place. The floors were highly polished marble, with pillars made of the same material. The impressive staircase was the centrepiece, and I could only imagine how awesome it would be to walk down those stairs in a long, billowing ballgown. There were old paintings lining the walls. Not all portraits like there were at the stately home where my gallery was situated. There were country scenes and some seascapes too.

“This is amazing.” My awed voice echoed around the area.

“It can appear imposing, but I can assure you the other rooms are homely and have all the mod cons.”

“Do you and Michael live here?”

“Sometimes we do, especially if the boys are away. Although, this place is well-protected, and other Hybrids check in to ensure everything is secure. We have a lovely little cottage which is just inside the trees. Only a stone’s throw away. It gives us privacy. And they will want a little more privacy too, now you’re in their life.”

My cheeks reddened at the implication of her statement.

I turned to Diane and smiled. “Good to know. I feel rather underdressed.”

“You look perfect,” Luca and Salvatore announced in unison.

Damn. They were so quiet that I hadn’t realised they were close by. Just how much of Diane’s words had they heard? My blush deepened.

I let loose a shy giggle. “You two really do need glasses. I’m a mess.”

I’d donned my favourite band T-shirt, which was so well worn it was almost threadbare. My jeans were old and faded, with both knees ripped out. Without conscious thought, I pulled at my top and smoothed my jeans. Yeah, right. Like that would make a difference. My idea was to be comfortable, but I did feel a little scruffy. I paused with Diane to admire one of the landscapes adorning the wall, and two hands touched my shoulders.

“Bella, we can’t read your thoughts… yet. Although we know what you’re thinking.”

“I do too.”

I looked side-on at Diane. “Holy hell, you’re not telepathic as well, are you?”

“No, she isn’t,” Luca announced, squeezing my shoulder. “But the way you’re touching your clothing speaks volumes.”

I groaned. “So now you’re body language experts, too?”

“You. Are. Beautiful. Just accept it,” Salvatore declared.

“Okay. I’ll take a good look around a bit later. Can I see my room now, please?”

I needed to put a bit of distance between me and all the attention I was receiving. Not only from Salvatore and Luca, but Diane too. Don’t get me wrong, it was lovely to be surrounded by such warmth, but I also required time to process everything.

“Why don’t you two go and help Michael in the garden? There are some stones on the rockery which need moving.”

I wanted to laugh at the collective groan from Luca and Salvatore at Diane’s words.

“Okay, we know when we’re not wanted,” Salvatore grumbled.

After kissing my cheeks, they headed back down the stairs. I took a few moments to watch them. I salivated at the sight of their backsides in tight jeans. They were so graceful, their movements in time with one another. My thoughts turned exceedingly dirty when I imagined just how much fun I could have with those two in bed. What a way for a girl to lose her virginity.

I may have made some cheeky comments about all the testosterone, and winked at them, but on the inside, I was scared. These men were as hot as hell, with hundreds of years’ experience between them when it came to sex. Apart from a few kisses and stopping guys trying to cop a feel, I was almost clueless. My body’s reaction to them was freaky too. It’s like it suddenly had an awareness of these men and was ready to accept them. My mind just needed to catch up, I guess. Sure, I’d read dirty romance books and watched the odd porno movie, but that was it. Maybe I should sit them down and discuss how I felt about all of this. After all, it was a huge step, and I was also terrified that I’d be a disappointment.

“They are handsome, aren’t they?” Diane’s words made me jump.

I turned, troubled, my negative thoughts running around my mind. “But am I good enough for them, Diane? Is it possible that fate has made a huge mistake? After all, I’m nothing special. Just a little human woman.”

Diane paused. “You listen to me, Angelina Squires. You are more than perfect for them. This destiny of yours has been arranged long before you were born.”

I shrugged. “If you say so.” I still wasn’t convinced.
